PSYCHOLOGY
I have a BSc (First Class Honours) in Psychology from Brunel University (2007), and a PhD in Psychology from the University of Cambridge (2011). I have worked as a research fellow and subsequently as a psychology lecturer at various universities in the U.K. My research is mainly in social, health and cognitive psychology, but I also teach research methods (both quantitative and qualitative methodologies), statistics and SPSS, as well as effective academic writing, including dissertations and research projects. In addition, I have sufficient competence in personality (i.e., individual differences) and clinical psychology to be able to teach these at undergraduate level. I have published over a dozen peer-reviewed articles, including some in world-leading journals, and have over 1300 academic citations of my research. Some of my research interests are: The attitude-behaviour relationship, behavioural interventions, motivation, cognition, and emotion, dual-process models of cognition, cognitive dissonance, self-affirmation, and information processing, emotional intelligence, mindfulness, health psychology, meta-cognition and self-knowledge, persuasion and social influence, intelligence and problem-solving, psychology of music, and psychology of religion.

In my own research in psychology, I have drawn on several philosophical ideas, and have integrated different philosophical perspectives into my work. URDU
Urdu is my mother tongue, and is one of four languages that I speak fluently. I can teach beginners and intermediate students in grammar, reading and writing, as well as conversations. And I also teach advanced students in conversation. My particular interests in Urdu literature are 18th and 19th century poetry, especially ghazals.

DANISH
I am a native speaker of Danish, and spent the first 22 years of my life there. I can teach all levels of the language and its literature. Some of the key authors that I have an interest in are Søren Kierkegaard, Karen Blixen, H C Anderson, and we can also discuss Danish film, cinema, and culture. Danish is very similar to Swedish and Norwegian so by learning Danish you will be able to read those languages quite well, and you might be able to understand speech in those languages to some extend. There is also some overlap between Danish and German, though not as much.

I taught psychology to undergraduates at the University of Cambridge from 2008-2011. I then taught at King's College London from 2011-2014, followed by the University of Bath from 2014-2017 and then Bath Spa University from 2017-2022. I also supervise BSc, MSc, and doctoral students. I graduated from Loughborough University with a BSc in Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry in 2003 and a year later completed my post graduate certificate in Education at the same university. I currently teach all GCSE sciences as well as Year 12 and Year 13 A Level Chemistry at Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School in Ashbourne, Derbyshire. I'm a very experienced, qualified A-Level Accounting teacher, having taught the subject in sixth form colleges for over 10 years. I understand that Accounting can be a difficult subject to master, with its own unique language and techniques, and I am able to explain topics clearly and patiently. I believe that interactive lessons are key to success and that learning comprises both explanation and practise. I can help students to overcome their anxiety about this subject and, through improved knowledge and understanding, increase their confidence. I am very familiar with the AQA specification, having attended relevant training sessions, and I know what's needed to achieve high marks on exam questions. I have an excellent track record of exam results, with most students achieving very high grades and progressing to their preferred university. I have a degree from the University of Warwick, and I am a fully qualified accountant (CIMA). I have 8 years of prior experience working in Finance in industry, including Cadbury Ltd and KPMG. I welcome the opportunity to help students who are struggling with Accounting. Having experience in both 1-1 tuition and teaching, I firmly believe that I can help all students to achieve their potential.

I have taught A-Level Accounting in sixth form colleges for over 10 years. Prior to that, I taught the professional accounting qualifications: CIMA, ACCA and AAT. I am a fully qualified teacher. Since 2019 I have also offered private tutoring for students to support and help them prepare for the A-Level Accounting exams.
I am an expert in A-Level Accounting, and have attended AQA training sessions. I am a fully qualified CIMA accountant, and have worked in industry, meaning that I have 'real life' experience of accounting and finance.

Tutoring Approach:
I believe that the key to successful tutoring is to listen to what a student needs, and then to respond by providing support and guidance that target those particular areas. A key component of tutoring is explaining key terms and concepts and answering questions. Practise is vital in A-Level Accounting, and so I provide lots of opportunity for the tutee to answer accounting questions. I provide support during this, and feedback. Developing a good working relationship with the student is very important - the tutee needs to trust me to do a good job. I think I can provide this: I am patient, understanding, kind and considerate. I can offer these things in addition to the technical knowledge and skills that I have, and as a result, dramatically improve the tutee's chances of success in the A-Level Accounting exams.

I offer tutoring at my home (Dickens Heath, Shirley), tutoring at your home (dependant upon distance and travel time), or tutoring in a central Solihull location (walking distance from the train station and convenient for bus routes and the Sixth Form College).

I have taught the Bristish curriculum from Y4 to Y13 during the last 15 years in three different countries. I have been Head of the Maths faculty in two different schools for 4 and 2 years respectively.

I will need some information of students before the first lesson such as board and tier if GCSE, schemme of work if available, etc.

I am a native Arabic speaker with a strong background in the Arabic language. I hold a GCSE Arabic Language certificate with a Grade 9 and am currently pursuing my undergraduate studies at Manchester Metropolitan University.

I have an experience of teaching Arabic language ( speaking, writing, and reading) for two years in Arabic school. I have taught different age groups and handled different number of students.

When it comes to tutoring, I focus on the student and what they really need. First, I figure out what they're good at, where they struggle, and how they learn best. From there, I tailor lessons to break down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps, using examples and practice to reinforce understanding.
I like to get students involved, encouraging them to ask questions and engage in discussions. Building their confidence and fostering independence is key. Ultimately, I want my students to not only ace their subjects but also gain valuable study skills they can carry with them long after our sessions are over.
