This coaching-based approach I take has proven highly successful. I approach each student and the sessions with an open mind to learn what I need to be of support.

Combining motivational coaching techniques, I offer a uniquely engaging, personally attuned service. The first lesson typically consists of a complimentary educational assessment (usually 30 minutes) to help identify key areas for improvement . All results can be shared with the parent/guardian. Based on this initial assessment, a 100% individual and tailored programme of learning is created. While encouraging the student to adopt high yet realistically achievable targets for their own education, I am also sensitive to the level of each student and what he or she is ready to adopt.

GCSE's

Jack's mock results were an E in English Language as well as a D in literature and he wanted to do Economics A level which required a B grade in his final GCSE. Jack had two hours of tuition per week from January to May. He enjoyed going (this surprised me as he hated English before the sessions) and had a new found likeness for literacy. He received a B in both language and literature and can now do A level economics. Jack related very well to David- this made learning easier for Jack and he obtained the grades he needed. His teachers at school noticed a marked improvement in his work when he was having tuition.

Oliver was falling behind in Math's and English. I am very happy to say that his confidence and his ability to retain what David teaches him has improved greatly. I have been speaking Spanish for over 30 years and have a passion for the language, for Spain and the Spanish culture.

I have visited Spain every year since I was eight and regularly visit friends across the country and members of my family who live near Valencia.  I spent a year of my degree studying, living and working in Northern Spain, at the University of Salamanca.  I regularly update and improve my own language and teaching skills and most recently attended an intensive week's teaching and learning course in Málaga .

I am very experienced in teaching having coached volleyball for the past 6 years. Working with children from ages 10 all the way up to members of the university team. In 2019, I graduated from a CELTA course (Cambridge Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages).
