Anastasia is a aviolinist, originally from Greece. Anastasia started playing the violin from the age of 6 years old. In 2006 she entered the State Conservatory of Music in Greece, where she graduated from in June 2015 with the Greek National Diploma on Violin performance, winning the 1st prize and a 'virtuosity' award. She holds the distinction of being the conservatoire's youngest violin-graduate ever. While she was studying at the State Conservatory of Music she has has been the leader of the Conservatory's Youth Symphony Orchestra between 2009-2014.

Anastasia moved to London in 2015 and started her Bachelor studies in Music at the Royal Academy of Music, where she studies with professor Richard Deakin. She is currently doing her final year as an undergraduate student at the Academy, expecting to obtain her degree from the university in 2019.

As a student at the Royal Academy of Music, Anastasia has participated in numerous concerts as a soloist, in violin- piano duos and chamber music concerts. She has also been a member of the RAM's Symphony Orchestra performing some of the orchestral masterpieces under Sir-Mark Elder, Semyon Bychkov, Jack van Steen and Robert Trevino.

Being a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO) for 4 years, Anastasia has performed throughout Europe under Bernard Haitink, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Vasily Petrenko, Gianandrea Noseda, Xian Zhang and Krysztof Urbansky in many prestigious concert halls including BBC Proms, Konzerthaus- Berlin and the Royal Concertgebouw- Amsterdam, among others.

Anastasia has also played and performed alongside professional orchestras in Greece including the 'State Symphony Orchestra of Thessaloniki', the 'Municipality of Thessaloniki Symphony Orchestra' and the 'Megaron Youth Symphony Orchestra'. I have been teaching since the 2010/2011 academic year where I achieved my ICT PGCE. I completed my NQT year at a secondary school in Loughton teaching ICT to all year groups before an opportunity came up at my current school (Secondary and sixth form) in 2012.

There I have been incharge of running Edexcel GCSE computer science since it began in 2013 while also teaching OCR A level computer science since I started at the school. Previously I have also taught both GCSE and A level ICT and functional skills ICT although both no longer exist.

As mentioned above I have also been an exam marker on the OCR exam board since 2018, in the last exam series (2022) I was assessed as marking to a 'high standard.'

It is also worth noting that offering private tuition has given me experience with a wide range of exam board and students with different needs and aims. As such I am confident in being able to meet the requirements of most potential students at either GCSE or A level standard.

I am a PhD student at the University of Manchester researching materials for applications to nuclear fusion. I am deeply passionate about my subject, although I understand that it's not everyone's cup of tea! I try my hardest to help my students increase their confidence, enjoyment of the subject and, of course, their grades.

I have been an online tutor since October 2019 and have seen some of my students make 3 grades progress in 3 months. I have worked with a variety of exam boards including international qualifications.

Tutoring Approach:
I try to keep my sessions relatively relaxed as I strongly believe that the best way to learn is when you feel most comfortable. As a fellow student, I can relate to my students and offer them some advice about their studies outside of the classroom. I have taught A-Level Accounting in sixth form colleges for over 10 years. Prior to that, I taught the professional accounting qualifications: CIMA, ACCA and AAT. I am a fully qualified teacher. Since 2019 I have also offered private tutoring for students to support and help them prepare for the A-Level Accounting exams.
I am an expert in A-Level Accounting, and have attended AQA training sessions. I am a fully qualified CIMA accountant, and have worked in industry, meaning that I have 'real life' experience of accounting and finance.

Tutoring Approach:
I believe that the key to successful tutoring is to listen to what a student needs, and then to respond by providing support and guidance that target those particular areas. A key component of tutoring is explaining key terms and concepts and answering questions. Practise is vital in A-Level Accounting, and so I provide lots of opportunity for the tutee to answer accounting questions. I provide support during this, and feedback. Developing a good working relationship with the student is very important - the tutee needs to trust me to do a good job. I think I can provide this: I am patient, understanding, kind and considerate. I can offer these things in addition to the technical knowledge and skills that I have, and as a result, dramatically improve the tutee's chances of success in the A-Level Accounting exams.

I offer tutoring at my home (Dickens Heath, Shirley), tutoring at your home (dependant upon distance and travel time), or tutoring in a central Solihull location (walking distance from the train station and convenient for bus routes and the Sixth Form College).
