Alan began exhibiting his photography back in 1995 and won various awards through the Australian photography industry bodies: the A.I.P.P. and A.C.M.P. In 1997, he was awarded the 'Nikon/Panorama Showcase Photographer of the Year' for his portfolio of ten images. The judges included the late David Moore. In 2006 he received two nominations in the international Black and White Spider Awards for fine art and sport. Tutoring Approach:
I believe in tailoring the teaching approach to each student's needs and individual learning style. For school children and university students, I discuss their aims with them - and with their parents, if required - to determine what topics need additional tuition and then to work out the appropriate programme. I advocate continuous assessment to measure the student's progress. Closer to exams, the pupils will work through focused papers. At this stage, strategic choices may be made to concentrate on the pupil's strengths.

In 2018, I moved to England to start my MA studies in Special Needs and carried on teaching 1-1 ever since I graduated in 2020.

I worked with several children/teenagers/young adults across Manchester within different settings. I got trained in Applied Behavioural Analysis/ABA and tutored in this area offering behavioural support alongside the academic support I have been offering.

Teaching Experience:
I have an experience of teaching Arabic language ( speaking, writing, and reading) for two years in Arabic school. I have taught different age groups and handled different number of students.

When it comes to tutoring, I focus on the student and what they really need. First, I figure out what they're good at, where they struggle, and how they learn best. From there, I tailor lessons to break down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps, using examples and practice to reinforce understanding.
I like to get students involved, encouraging them to ask questions and engage in discussions. Building their confidence and fostering independence is key.
