As part of a distance-learning Masters degree in association with FUNIBER and the Universidad de León, I carried out an ethnographic action research project using a democratic approach called Community Language Learning. In this approach there is no syllabus or textbook to follow. It is the learners themselves who determine the content by means of meaningful conversations.
It incorporates translation, transcription and recording techniques.

When I am not working I love volunteering, practising ice skating or track cycling with my daughter and also growing an edible garden !

I was born in Madrid where I trained as a primary teacher and classical musician (cello and chamber music).

With my years of tutoring experience, combined with the skills I have developed at Oxford, I am confident in helping my students acquire an in depth understanding of their subjects. With adult learners in mind, my approach tuition is to get to grips with some original texts as soon as possible, since this is why we learn Latin and Greek! Language is the key to unlocking the ancient world and too often classical language teaching misses this, deep in its lexicons and grammar primers. I am a friendly and approachable tutor with extensive experience in academia, both as a graduate teacher and a student (I'm currently a PhD Psychology student). Having completed my GCSEs, A-levels, a BSci in Psychology, an MSci in Psychological Research, and currently pursuing a PhD in Perceptual Psychology, I understand the challenges students face.
