As Senior Teacher/ Teacher in Charge, of a Medical Pupil Referral Unit I headed up a dedicated team of skilled teachers who worked with young people on a 1:1 and small group basis. I am well aware of the current concerns with the mental health of young people and aim to support those I work with in a positive and sensitively focused manner. Many of my student's have experienced exam anxiety, dyslexia and learning difficulties which has made school a problematic environment for them. I'm in my early sixties, married with four children and three Grandchildren aged 5-9 yrs. I have 40 years' experience of teaching all ages from pre-school (I used to child mind) to A level and FE students. I have taught children aged 4-14yrs in an Independent Christian School and I have helped many older students with dyslexia, ADHD and ASD to resit their English GCSE successfully. My comprehensive experience in leading Employability , Drama and Speech workshops has been most fulfilling but I also love teaching English as an additional language and singing with crafts etc. for people with learning differences. We will begin by establishing what your aims are for our sessions together. I then tailor the topics and artists studied to your art style and interests. I can share my teaching materials after the sessions as required so you can retain the information and refer back to it as needed.

Tutoring Approach:
For those working towards a qualification, I can teach in line with the chosen exam board content and marking criteria. Qualifications include (but are not limited to) GCSE, IGCSE, A Level, IB and Further Education qualifications. I also offer sessions to individuals wishing to further their practice or theoretical understanding on their own pathway.
