I am an artist-teacher whose passion lies within nature and its use as a subject within art education. Exploring themes of organic matter, leaning towards natural history and science, I have a keen interest in the philosophy of Wabi-sabi and creating symmetrical imagery using objects that may be deemed imperfect, worthless or unattractive.

I studied Illustration at University and specialise in bookmaking, screen printing onto textiles and observational drawing.

Recently I have had an artist book on display at the Turner Contemporary in Margate, images displayed in CRATE, participated in projects with Dover Arts Development and had my work displayed alongside my students at the Sidney Cooper Gallery in Canterbury. English is essentially a skills based subject. Although there is a lot of content to learn at both GCSE and A level, students benefit from being able to access and flexibly use the techniques needed to study and criticize. I worked with more than 150 students who have ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, learning disabilities, down syndrome, multiple and profound learning disabilities, visual and hearing impairments. I worked with students from age 2 to 30. In the mean time, I topped up my knowledge studying 2 years foundation degree in Child Development to have more of a professional perspective on early years/Foundation stage.

In 2018, I moved to England to start my MA studies in Special Needs and carried on teaching 1-1 ever since I graduated in 2020.

I worked with several children/teenagers/young adults across Manchester within different settings. I got trained in Applied Behavioural Analysis/ABA and tutored in this area offering behavioural support alongside the academic support I have been offering.

I got regular students in Manchester , offering home schooling, pastoral and behavioural support on a regular basis. I have also offered short term interventions , behavioural/emotional support to students who have different needs during this period.

Teaching Experience:
I'm friendly, easy to talk to, and absolutely love witnessing my students light up when they have understood something or have improved their grades on a test. I have a degree in Mathematics from the University of London and I am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Law degree. I have a strong background in Law, History, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Mathematics, having achieved the best grades in History and Mathematics at GCSE level and A- Level.I have previously helped classmates improve their grades during my academic journey. I find great satisfaction in supporting others on their academic journeys.

I want my lessons to not be boring and not make it seem like you're just here for the sake of being here, but I want you to actually enjoy coming to the tutor sessions with questions and excitement to learn and try to understand new things. I will change my lesson plans each week to keep them fun and exciting. I will also cater my lessons to you and to how you like to learn-whether that's through quizzes, drawings, or creating rhymes to help you remember.

Tutoring Approach:
I tend to plan my lessons around how the student likes to read and what their focus points are whether that's exam techniques, revision techniques or essay writing. I will always try to make the lesson as fun and engaging as possible so the students are excited to learn so I'll always start with a revision game and end with one as well to keep it exciting.

If essay writing is the main focus point I will plan for the main part of the lesson to either help write a practice paragraph or plan a question together. If revision techniques are the main focus point then I'll come up with fun ways to help the students revise and want to continue revising after the session ends. I'll always also ask the student their preferred way of learning at the start of the lesson and then at the end of it I'll ask again and make sure they found the lesson okay.
