I'm in my early sixties, married with four children and three Grandchildren aged 5-9 yrs. I have 40 years' experience of teaching all ages from pre-school (I used to child mind) to A level and FE students. I have taught children aged 4-14yrs in an Independent Christian School and I have helped many older students with dyslexia, ADHD and ASD to resit their English GCSE successfully. I enjoy working with adults too especially using my language teaching skills (I am CELTA qualified). I help people who have particular difficulties and those who just lack confidence, to see their very real strengths and to build on them. I can show them techniques for learning and improving their writing style, comprehension skills and spoken English in a way that suits them as individuals. I like to give personal attention to my tutees and to tailor the lessons to their needs but am happy to teach online up to 3 people together to reduce costs if that helps. We work on Language skills such as pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar in ESOL lessons with plenty of practice for tests if needed and when studying literature at a higher level, I encourage my tutees to relate what they are reading to current issues and events in the world so that it is relevant and interesting for them. I have been a fully qualified teacher for over 6 years and I absolutely love what I do! I have particular interest in working with children on a 1-1 basis as I love to personalise their learning and help them to see things in a different way then they may have been taught and not quite understand before.

I am an artist-teacher whose passion lies within nature and its use as a subject within art education. Exploring themes of organic matter, leaning towards natural history and science, I have a keen interest in the philosophy of Wabi-sabi and creating symmetrical imagery using objects that may be deemed imperfect, worthless or unattractive.

I studied Illustration at University and specialise in bookmaking, screen printing onto textiles and observational drawing.

Recently I have had an artist book on display at the Turner Contemporary in Margate, images displayed in CRATE, participated in projects with Dover Arts Development and had my work displayed alongside my students at the Sidney Cooper Gallery in Canterbury. I'm a UK-qualified teacher (QTS) and CELTA-certified tutor with a Postgraduate in Education(PGCE), a Bachelor's in Electronic and Electrical Engineering(BEng), and a postgraduate in Computing. I enjoyed working with children, so I quit my job as an engineer, to be a teacher. I offer premium tutoring services that go beyond academics to support the full development of each child. With experience teaching in London secondary schools and founding a school in Sri Lanka for underserved communities, I bring a rare blend of educational rigour, global awareness, and deep compassion to my work.

Teaching Experience:
I am a fully qualified Maths teacher (QTS) with extensive experience teaching at London's leading Outstanding-rated secondary schools. I have taught across a wide range of year groups, from Year 7 to Year 13, and have a proven track record of helping students succeed in both GCSE and A-Level Maths.

In addition to my classroom teaching, I have worked as a private tutor and governess for students of all ages and abilities, including private households and those needing tailored support.
