After working as an Engineer I changed career in my late 20s and moved into the world of Therapy and Healing. I trained in hypnotherapy and craniosacral therapy as well as Human Design. I am experienced in teaching all curriculum areas and I have an excellent knowledge of engaging and exciting children's literature. This knowledge can be used to enhance the teaching of basic, foundational skills, particularly in English.

Tutoring Approach:
I always begin where my pupils are and track back to see where the learning gaps may be. I find that taking a pupil-led approach to this can support the identification of, not only gaps in learning but also areas where confidence is not so strong.
I will always move at the pupil's pace and introduce new concepts when the foundational understanding is secure. I encourage pupils to take academic risks and I emphasize that, sometimes, the 'wrong' answer is a step to reaching the right one!
