I have 7 years experience working as a Spanish teacher in secondary schools in London including Alleyn's, Lady Margaret School and Kingsdale, teaching years 7 to 13. My exam classes have a very good track record. This year, my year 11 class are predicted 58% grades 9 to 8 and 100% 9 to 6, and my A Level class 63% A*-A and 88% A*-B. I have worked with both Edexcel and AQA in this time, so I know what it takes to get the best grades, especially at GCSE. I am also very happy to work with younger children, helping them to feel more confident with mastering the basics in a language. Hello! I am 47 years old, originally from Denmark and moved to the UK 20 years ago for my degree. Before teaching, I worked as a monkey veterinary technician in the US, conducted my Masters research on crop-raiding macaques in Indonesia, and helped to run a volunteer expedition in the Amazon. After a couple of years of teaching in secondary school as a Science and Spanish teacher, I heard the call of the wild again and travelled for a year through Mexico and Central America. I am a very patient, goal-driving, and enthusiastic, and throughout my career as a private tutor for more than 5 years, I have changed so many students' lives when it came to languages, by turning something boring for them into something very interesting with amazing results. All my students have retained at least 90% of everything after my classes and that is a very high-quality standard. My classes are fun, efficient, smart and I also provide very interactive material. My passion for travel and languages has taken me across the world allowing me to quickly adapt to any environment, culture, or student. I love sports especially football, skiing, tennis, golf, and surfing.
