I completed Nuclear Power Engineering degree studies in 1990 after 6 years of training in Havana and Moscow. Between 1990 and 2004, I worked as a Biomedical researcher in the fields of Immunology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology and Vaccine Development. This involves collaboration with many European and American research teams and working visits to leading Biomedical centres in UK, Netherlands, Sweden, Germany and Spain including several UK Royal Society Fellowships and a UK Wellcome Trust International Travelling Post-doctoral Fellowship at Glasgow University Division of Immunology/Microbiology, which can be followed up by publication in peer-review scientific journals. Since 2006, I have been teaching Mathematics at GCSE and A-levels in the UK and currently, I am teaching at these levels plus International Baccalaureate Level. I have been an external marker (Mathematics in English and Spanish languages) for the International Baccalaureate Organisation for the last two years. Teaching Experience:
I have spent time volunteering in Tanzania, Africa, where I taught English in schools to young children. I have also been a Spanish teacher in England in a both a secondary school and primary school.

Tutoring Approach:
I like to create a personalised and engaging environment for my students. Having experience as a language teacher, I know how to incorporate the specific interests of my students into the lesson to keep it engaging. I am also a clear speaker and understand the importance of explaining new concepts simply and plainly. All my lessons can be adapted to your interests and needs.

Personal Description:
I have been teaching in secondary education for over 10 years and have a deep understanding of GCSE and A-Level exam boards for Modern Languages, as well as being able to build a rapport with young people.

I love travelling, I enjoy honing my Spanish skills in Mexico, Central America, and South America. I am always up for sharing travel stories! I am also passionate about football, Chelsea are my team (controversial, I know!), and music, I love to discover new artists from around the world.

Teaching Experience:
Having completed my PGCE at the University of Oxford, I worked as Head of Department at a secondary school. I worked with A-level and GCSE students on a daily basis and understand the requirements to achieve top grades in these exams. I have a thorough knowledge of Modern Languages and have a degree in French and Hispanic Studies from the University of Nottingham.

I have taught extensively online using Microsoft Teams, Zoom and on tutoring platforms. I have excellent IT skills and am confident in my ability to impart knowledge in an online classroom.

Tutoring Approach:
I am a dynamic and enthusiastic teacher and aim to deliver tutor sessions that allow for rapid academic progression. All sessions will have clear and challenging goals in order for students to reach their maximum potential.
