I was born and raised in Barcelona by a Spanish father and a French mother. I developed a strong interest in languages from a very young age as I learnt three languages as a child; Spanish, French, and Catalan at school. My mother who is a French teacher inspired me with her passion for teaching to further my studies to become a language teacher.

I am a patient and encouraging teacher.

I obtained a Certificate of Teaching Languages to Adults at Goldsmiths University in London and completed a teaching placement at the Instituto Cervantes in London.

I combine language teaching with my other passion, music. I regularly perform at events with a Swing and Latin Jazz band.

Hello my name is Anne-Marie, I am from Ireland but have been living in the UK since 2004. This is now a place I call home. I realised I had a flare for imparting knowledge when I became a basketball trainer at 15, working with Primary and Secondary pupils. I'm familiar with a variety of exam boards (Edexcel, AQA, CCEA, Cambridge International) and qualifications (GCSEs, A Levels, DELF / DELE), and I've also supported students aiming for academic scholarships.

Furthermore, I am highly experienced in supporting students with additional needs. I volunteered for five years at Barnardo's Saturday Club, working with children aged 5-11 with SEND. While in Spain, I supported weekly English classes for adults with SEND and helped prepare them for the Trinity College English exams. During my PGCE, I completed a placement at a school specialising in SEND, and I continue to tutor and teach students with a range of learning and physical needs.
