I am a teacher of French, Italian and Spanish in St Ninian's High School, within East Renfrewshire. I graduated from the University of Strathclyde with a joint Honours degree in French and Italian (language and studies). I also have a Masters in Marketing which I also obtained from the University of Strathclyde. I spent a year abroad in Lyon, France, during my fourth year of university, where I worked as an English Language Assistant in two high schools. Furthermore, I am highly experienced in supporting students with additional needs. I volunteered for five years at Barnardo's Saturday Club, working with children aged 5-11 with SEND. While in Spain, I supported weekly English classes for adults with SEND and helped prepare them for the Trinity College English exams. During my PGCE, I completed a placement at a school specialising in SEND, and I continue to tutor and teach students with a range of learning and physical needs.
