I think that there is a lot of importance in learning 'discovery' which is where the pupil is not spoon-fed information, but rather encouraged to try and work out patterns in the language e.g. grammar. I also think grammar is an important part of learning Spanish language due to all of the verb conjugations and gender agreements etc. Homework is also important as doing a little each day is definitely one of the best ways to learn.

Half French/half Scottish, I was born and brought up in France to Scottish parents. I am now based in London, but Paris is still home for me. Studying French and Spanish at University College London gave me the incredible opportunity to live in Madrid for a year, where I became fluent in Spanish. It is, essential to review past papers and study the specific requirements for a given exam; however, this is not everything, and I believe that there are some more general principles which help across the board. For example, writing techniques, translation, and of course motivation and focusing in grammar will help to achieve the best possible outcome.
