Most of my adult life, I have lived in an English speaking country but I lived and went to university in my home country of Ecuador until I was 25 years old. I did part of my University studies in Ecuador and 5 years in the United States as well.

I have lived in the UK since 2010 and I have taught GCSE and A level Spanish for more than 14 years. I also have experience teaching Primary school children.

Half French/half Scottish, I was born and brought up in France to Scottish parents. I am now based in London, but Paris is still home for me. Studying French and Spanish at University College London gave me the incredible opportunity to live in Madrid for a year, where I became fluent in Spanish. I then went on to train as an actor at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. I can teach online and offline lessons. When I work offline with my students I send the grammar, videos, podcasts, texts, activities, and so on; all that is needed to practice for the lessons are needed (I will send stuff to practice for more than one hour per lesson). All the skills can be practiced (as requested: speaking with recorded audios, listening with podcasts or videos, reading from articles I have or writing about a specific topic.) All the activities and learning are done whenever the student is free within a week and then I can check it and send feedback to the student.

I work with Google doc, an online document that is just for me and the student, all the activities will be there. if the student has any questions about one activity, it can be written on there or simply the student could write his/her own notes to keep learning Spanish.

I trained in dance from the age of 3, and when I was about 13/14, started helping with the teaching of the younger children at the school. This was where I discovered my passion for helping others to learn. I took a huge amount of pleasure in helping people figure out a way to finally crack something they'd been finding difficult.

When I then went to uni, I spent my spare time working at Salford Young People's University to lead marketing and radio production workshops, amongst others. Upon leaving education, whilst trying to start my career as a television producer, I worked part time in a local high school as an administrative assistant, exam invigilator and cover support officer, covering classes when teachers were absent. Having obtained majority A grades at school myself, I found a great deal of joy working across all national curriculum subjects to help students complete their work and understand things that they were finding tricky.

Over the last decade, I have spent a great deal of time outside of my day job leading workshops in schools, universities and other teaching organisations to inform, educate and empower young people to pursue a career in television. I have also mentored upwards of 80 individuals, each time taking a person-centred approach to figure out what is right for that particular person. I believe that this style allows people to feel empowered, makes things "click" in a way that is natural to the individual, and ultimately allows that person to walk away with a feeling of satisfaction and confidence in their abilities.

Ideally, I'd have students bring homework they are struggling to complete so that we can work through it together, but if that is not an option, I am very happy to discuss the individual needs and then find appropriate resources. I am happy to work either online or in person.

Personal Description:
I am bilingual in Italian and English after living in Italy for 20 years, I also am fluent in Spanish and French from learning those languages at school from the age of 7. I like to teach by combining text book based learning with practical use of the language I am teaching so for example a typical lesson might start with reviewing the exercises set out in a textbook such as answering a series of questions on a writing passage and then moving into a more conversational type of lesson where we would discuss our plans for the weekend in the language being taught or try some practical exercises such as making a plate of food using the language being taught.

I also offer computer studies lessons where I can t we achieve students how to use Microsoft Office software such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint or also more advanced packages and languages such as SQL and Power BI/Tableau.

I have given language tuition to many students via UK Tutors over the last 10 years ranging from secondary school students to adult conversational classes.
