I teach skills that will enable you to be creative and produce language, I do not believe in parroting therefore I encourage the understanding of grammar mechanisms .
I have dynamic approach to teaching which is specific for every pupil's needs.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any doubt.

Personal Description:
Hello! I am 47 years old, originally from Denmark and moved to the UK 20 years ago for my degree. Before teaching, I worked as a monkey veterinary technician in the US, conducted my Masters research on crop-raiding macaques in Indonesia, and helped to run a volunteer expedition in the Amazon. After a couple of years of teaching in secondary school as a Science and Spanish teacher, I heard the call of the wild again and travelled for a year through Mexico and Central America. I now feel very settled here in England and am raising two beautiful daughters, as well as a menagerie of animals, including chickens, guinea pigs, and a dog.
I have an up to date enhanced DBS.
Teaching Experience:
I completed my teaching degree in 2007 at Canterbury Christ Church University. I trained in two very different types of schools.. a private Catholic boarding school and a comprehensive high school, which gave me the experience to engage students of different abilities and backgrounds. I also received training to teach EAL and SEN students. My teaching qualification is in Science, but as a fluent Spanish speaker I also teach Spanish to both adults and children in schools and private tuition. I teach Maths, Biology, and Spanish up to GCSE level. For 8 years, I worked for a private company teaching young people in residential care, and after that at a private school for girls. I have since decided to leave mainstream, and now alongside my private tuition, I teach at a democratic learning community where yoga and meditation are taught hand-in-hand with a topic based curriculum. My teaching experiences are very diverse, and I love having had influence from a variety of styles of education, but what gives me most satisfaction is working with students 1-1.
Tutoring Approach:
Students, young and old, don't like subjects they don't think they can succeed in. My approach is to break down material, relate it to everyday life and interests, and positively reinforce all the way to build up confidence. I am stubborn (!) and I don't give up until it's mastered.

Teaching Experience:
I have taught for over 13 years in Good and Outstanding London secondary schools, and also work as an exam board marker, ensuring I am fully up-to-date with all exam specifications at GCSE and A level. I also have experience training teachers at one of the UK's leading universities. I have extensive experience as a tutor delivering online lessons. I am able to offer lessons that cover the following:

Personal Description:
I have a BA in English Linguistics from the University of Malaga (Spain) and I am a fully qualified teacher based in a comprehensive secondary school, specialised in Spanish and French. I am very enthusiastic, friendly and approachable teacher with a fascination for Spain and the Spanish speaking world, along with other countries and languages particularly French and German. I am a native Spanish speaker. In my spare time I enjoy outdoor sports like running and walking and playing with my own children in the park.
Teaching Experience:
I'm a fully qualified teacher. I have been teaching for fourteen years in a comprehensive secondary school in England. I am currently teaching Spanish from year 7 to A level (KS3, KS4 and KS5), French from year 7 to GCSE (KS3 and KS4) and English from year 7 to GCSE. I am also an AQA and Edexcel GCSE examiner for the Spanish component but I am also very familiar with most of the exam board (AQA, Edexcel, WJEC and OCR). I have also taught IB for two years. I have conducted speaking exams and moderated written assessment for GCSE, IGCSE and A level. Therefore I have great experience with exams boards/specification.
Tutoring Approach:
I'm a very patient person and ready to help to build up student's confidence. My lessons are always planned to meet my students' needs. I always include the four skills ( listening, speaking, reading and writing) in all my lessons. I believe that practising exam techniques are the keys to achieve the best results in your exams.
For GCSE Spanish and French I focus on speaking exam practice ( role-play, picture-based and conversation questions) and writing exam practice focus on key phrases/ sophisticated vocabulary to excel the 90 and 150 words tasks.
For A level Spanish students, learn to read and analyse a literary text/film in Spanish which is challenging and rewarding. I help them get to grips with the set works and to refine their essay-writing skills for Paper 2. Loads of essay writing practice are essential part of my teaching session.

Personal Description:
Hi my name is Lina
I am available to help students learn different languages and improve their oral and written skills. I can help younger students prepare for their GCSE exams and I can also teach intensive 1-2-1 business level courses. I am available to teach face to face or online via Skype.
I am very passionate about travelling and find that my love for languages enables me to get the most out of my trips. I see languages as a key to unlocking different cultures and experiences that I may have may otherwise have missed out on.
Teaching Experience:
I have taught students aged between 12 and 80 from over 50 countries around the world. I have taught many different levels of German from ABC courses for students who could not read or write, up to advanced business courses.
As part of one of my roles I was involved with the German Immigration Ministry, which included providing courses and exams to people who wanted to live in Germany.
I can prepare students to take Test DaF,DSH and Zertifikat Deutsch exams.
Tutoring Approach:
I have been teaching languages for over 16 years now and I have lived and breathed the German culture for many years. This allows me to give students a real insight into the way of German life. I can use many real world examples in the way I deliver the course material, to help students better understand what is being taught to them.

Personal Description:
I am a certified teacher of Spanish as a Foreign Language. In May 2012 I finished the Master de Educación Secundaria Obligatoria y Bachillerato, FP y Enseñanza de Idiomas in Spain, a program similar to a PGCE. I am also working on the dissertation on another master program that will qualify me as a teacher of Spanish as a Foreign Language. I enjoy Qualified Teaching Status since November 2012 and I am familiar with the English curriculum and the programme of study for KS3-4 in all aspects related to teaching Spanish as a MFL. I have taught Spanish to people of all ages and nationalities and also have classroom experience as a Chemistry Teacher (ages 15-16 and 17-18).
Teaching Experience:
I am an experienced professional with a strong academic background and I am confident that I can be a valuable asset to your school. To be part of your teaching team will be a fantastic opportunity for me because it will also give me the opportunity to embrace the British culture again.
I have worked very hard to become a good teacher. My grades have been outstanding and I am receiving very good feedback from my instructors. I have carried out the practical phase of the teaching programme (Master in Secondary Education) in the same high school that I attended many years ago. In this school I have been responsible for teaching Chemistry and Physics to over 60 students and I also implemented a social learning environment to support their learning which has received very good feedback from my students and the lead teacher. I have accrued more than 800 teaching hours to date. I have the skills required for a classroom teacher and also the specialised skills required for teaching a second language.
Tutoring Approach:
From my own experience, I believe that learning a new language is similar to opening a door into a world full of possibilities: traveling, getting a new job, meeting new people and, in general, becoming a stronger individual both personally and professionally. In my classes, I like to tap into that part of each of my students that is exited about learning a new language, because that motivation will lead them to succeed in my class.
As a language teacher I firmly believe that in order for the students to succeed, two things must be present in the classroom environment: trust and respect. I have a lot of experience as a language student, Spanish is my native tongue and I have learned English, German and a bit of French and I have struggled with that first phrase I wanted to say out loud thinking that I was going to make a mistake or that it was going to sound funny. I understand that not everyone learns a language at the same rate and speaking in a foreign language takes courage and self-confidence. Courage and self-confidence are supported by an environment of trust and respect. In my classroom there are always ground rules: we are all here to learn, we learn from each other and we must respect each other.
The other very important aspect for me is making sure that the level of proficiency is correctly assessed. If the classes are too challenging or too basic, a negative environment not conducive to learning is created. Even if proper evaluation is made before the groups are formed, there will always be differences inside the classroom. I, as a teacher, try to be as aware as possible of this factor and strive to use that for the good of the group. Pairing a strong student with someone not as strong usually helps. Another important issue that I try to be as aware as possible is preventing the strong students from taking over the exercises and leaving behind other students that, because of either lack of confidence or not being at the same level, stop themselves from actively participating in class. In my classes, I make sure that everyone is heard and that I can evaluate progress of all my students.

Personal Description:
I am a professional and experienced qualified teacher who is passionate about helping students succeed and achieve their potential. I have experience in tutoring on a 1 to 1 basis across all age ranges.
Teaching Experience:
I have over four years experience teaching languages in state secondary schools working with students aged 11-18. I have detailed knowledge of French and Spanish GCSE and NVQ syllabuses and specifications, having taught and examined these courses. I also have experience of teaching A level and primary languages. I have worked with students from a wide range of backgrounds with a variety of special educational needs. I have studied languages to degree level and lived, worked and taught abroad in both France and Spain.
Tutoring Approach:
I am a big believer in personalised learning therefore I like to tailor a programme of study to meet your needs. Each learner is different and so it is important to adapt and use a range of teaching styles and methods to find the ones that work for you. Where my tuition is supporting you in your study of languages at secondary school, I like to ensure that what we do builds on, and links to, what you have been studying in class. Above all I believe learning should be fun and relevant to you and so I put this at the heart of my teaching.

Personal Description:
My passion for teaching started in 2008, having qualified as a teacher at University in Madrid. After a pedagogic practice in an Secondary Bilingual School I moved to France, where I have recently graduated in French and Spanish Linguistics.
Last year I finished a master's degree in French Applied Language in the Sorbonne University and the Paris Trade Chamber, where I trained in didactics of Specific French (business, scientific, hotel trade, etc).
I'm a very enthusiastic teacher, able to find the talent hidden in every student.
Teaching Experience:
My teaching experience includes two years as a Modern Foreign Language teacher with Learnissimo, training individual from different sectors (enterprises as Danone, Tompress), three years in Primary and Secondary schools and a six months internship in the French Institute in Madrid.
Tutoring Approach:
My teaching method for is based on tasks and the PPP paradigm (presenting a subject, practicing by repetition, matching or filling and producing in the context of a particular task). This approach allows the students to learn by practicing in their real communication situations and to progress in a very short time!
The type of materials I use are generally design by myself, using authentic documents as reports, conversation recordings, emails, hand outs and I also use general linguistics and grammar manuals and essays to support my research
Using a task-based approach, you will be focusing in particular missions and I will give you the tools to accomplish them and I will be designing a individualized programme from your personal or professional targets.
Basically, this is a very practical methodology based on learning by doing.

Personal Description:
As far as I can remember, I've always liked learning new things and teaching and considered it as fundamental. I'm really interested in different cultures, languages and ways of thinking. I am French and I've been living in England for many years. I like meeting new people and having fun while teaching. I am a qualified teacher of languages (French, Spanish and Latin) CRB checked and am looking forward to help you progress with your languages.
Teaching Experience:
I am a French native speaker, I have been a teacher of French and Spanish for over 10 years in secondary and in primary schools. I have also privately tutored for 3 years before becoming a teacher.
I have also taught French A levels for 3 years.
I am very familiar with Edexcel and AQA exam boards at GCSE and AQA at A levels.
I have worked with the Cambridge Latin Course for Latin.
Tutoring Approach:
In my experience, I've found that students appreciate learning languages with loads of different material like music, games, films, books, videos and the internet platform in general. I think tutoring has to be interesting and entertaining as well as efficient. I try to be funny, joyful but focused at the same time. And if the tutee is motivated, then I can guarantee that we will work very well together and achieve every target set.

My name is Montserrat, I am a native Spanish speaker and I was born and grow up in Sant Pol de mar Barcelona, (north of Catalunya). I have got 1 daughter. I`ve been living in England for 15 years and now I live in Hitchin.
I studied at College in Barcelona where I obtained qualifications to teach Spanish to foreigners.
Over the last 15 years, I have developed a passion for teaching Spanish to foreigners. I already ran Spanish language classes while in my native country, and when I came to England, I started to give Spanish lessons on a one to one basis then and I run Spanish courses in Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire.
I give Spanish lessons via Skype to some distant students and I really enjoy this way of teaching.
I am running a several after schools clubs in different schools around Hitchin.
If you would like to read my Curriculum Vitae and a list of references in United Kingdom, please feel free to ask.
Teaching Experience:
YOUR LESSON IS TAILORED ON YOU
Every Spanish lesson is customized on student progress, purpose and needs. I offer a high level of flexibility in terms of timing as I am available to give out lessons every day from 8 am to 11 pm weekends included. If you can't have your lesson in the same day every week I can arrange your lessons time by time at your convenience.
Students receive all the stuff they need to study Spanish (grammar, exercises, practice) in advance and there is a hard job behind that. If you study Spanish with me you don't spend a penny to buy books, audio-videos or other stuff. Also I run a After school club for kids.
Tutoring Approach:
I teach Spanish by developing written materials according to an individual learner`s needs.
I use materials of different types in order to make each lesson interesting and beneficial, including videos from Spanish websites, audio tracks, dictations and games.
Each lesson is usually divided into two sections: the first one is dedicated to study some new grammar and the rest of the lesson is focused on speaking, listening and comprehension exercises to help the student`s proficiency improving day by day.
An important component of my lesson is the "free conversation", where the students tells me what they have done in the last few days. Very useful are also my "driven conversations", based on newspapers articles or other writings, on different topics.
This way my students have the opportunity to learn about Spanish culture, politics, food, traditions, history etc.
I always give all my students homework to be done independently.
LESSONS PRICES AND PAYMENT TERMS
Children groups,(minimum of 3) age from 4 to 11 years old are £5 per hour and I ask 4 weeks in advance.
I charge £ 18 per 1 hour lesson or £ 25 per 90 minutes lesson at my house.
I offer discounts for families and groups.
I prefer to be paid monthly in advance but if you struggle to pay monthly I can accept payment lesson by lesson.
If you can't attend a class, please advice 24 hours in advance and I will offer you to re-arrange your lesson for another day.
If you miss the lesson and you haven't canceled it in advance, you will be asked to pay for the missed lesson.
You can pay my lessons cash, via cheque, pay-pal or bank transfer. If you need a receipt for your payment, feel free to ask.
For lessons at your house I will ask you a petrol refund.

Personal Description:
Hi. My name is Bea, I am a Spanish teacher from Toledo, a city in the center of Spain, near Madrid, so I am a native speaker and I have a neutral Spanish accent. Besides, I am a DELE examiner from Cervantes and I have experience preparing students for SIELE and DELE exams (A1-C2 levels).
Teaching Experience:
I have more than 15 years of experience giving private lessons. I lived in England for 7 years and I taught Spanish as a first language to Spanish students who were living in England so they could improve their mother tongue and I have taught Spanish as a second language to students from different international countries such as Scotland, England, Poland, Turkey, India, Bosnia, Ukraine, Italy, Letonia, United States or South Africa.
Currently, I continue teaching Spanish as a second language online. I have school-age students and adults who want to learn or improve their Spanish, travel to a Spanish-speaking country, or pass a DELE, SIELE, GCSE, or A-LEVEL Spanish exam.
We can learn Spanish together and at the same time we can learn about Spanish culture: learning about different places to visit in Spain, knowing how to buy food in Spanish to prepare delicious recipes from different places in Spain or getting the vocabulary and structures to be able to order your lunch when you go to a restaurant.
Tutoring Approach:
I use different methods according to my students' interests and backgrounds. I have so many resources and materials already from my years of experience, for example, we could watch a short video in relation to the present topic, listen to a song to improve listening skill or focus on traveling vocabulary doing role-plays. I don't follow only one book. I like to have a guide about what the student would like to improve or to learn and from there I will give different materials. I prepare my students to get a CEFR level, to learn a language to travel abroad or just to improve the language.
I will prepare the lessons according to your needs, showing you tricks to learn or remember specific Spanish grammar. We can have a long-term course to learn at your pace. I also offer intensive courses to get ready for an exam or learn quicker the language.
I can teach online and offline lessons. When I work offline with my students I send the grammar, videos, podcasts, texts, activities, and so on; all that is needed to practice for the lessons are needed (I will send stuff to practice for more than one hour per lesson). All the skills can be practiced (as requested: speaking with recorded audios, listening with podcasts or videos, reading from articles I have or writing about a specific topic.) All the activities and learning are done whenever the student is free within a week and then I can check it and send feedback to the student.
I work with Google doc, an online document that is just for me and the student, all the activities will be there. if the student has any questions about one activity, it can be written on there or simply the student could write his/her own notes to keep learning Spanish.

Hello! My name is Alberto and I am a native Spanish Language Tutor. My qualifications include a BA in Fine Arts and a Master's in Secondary Teaching. I also successfully completed a Teacher Training course in Spanish as a Foreign Language. I then moved to the UK where I have been working as a Language Tutor since January 2014. I later gained a DELE examiner accreditation.
My experience includes tuition at several Language Schools and Companies, as well as Teaching Assistance for GCSE and A Level Spanish in Secondary Education. I have also been working as a Language Tutor for the University of Bristol during the last few years.
With over 500 million speakers in Europe, South America and the US, Spanish is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world. The importance of Spanish as a second language is undeniable. Why not starting formal lessons with a flexible and tailored learning adapted to your needs?
A great opportunity is now before you. Don't let it slip by!!

Personal Description:
I have been a tutor for almost twenty years. I am fluent in English and in Spanish. I am very patient with my students, I enjoy teaching them skills on how to use their own strengths to maximize their potential in the subjects they want to improve.
I have many different tutoring skills I use flash cards, workbooks, conversation skills, and fun games. I tend to vary the activities I do when tutoring, in order to keep my students` attention at all times.
I am outgoing, charismatic, diligent, and determined. I have a positive attitude even when students are having difficulties on certain topics my optimistic approach makes my students feel comfortable with me.
I am flexible with my time. I understand how it feels to learn a language that is completely different from the one you are used to, so I can definitely empathize with your situation and create a learning environment that will hopefully make you feel more at ease.
Teaching Experience:
I have wide experience teaching Spanish for more than fifteen years in public and private schools and for all ages, besides considerable experience as a English-Spanish translator/interpreter. I am currently teaching English and Spanish in different companies, language schools and the most renowned tuition agencies in London on a freelance basis and occasionally working as cover supervisor in some schools. I am familiar and experienced with all GCSE and A-Level boards an exams (MLAT, SAT, DELE...)
Tutoring Approach:
I encourage students to solve their own problems by guiding them with leading questions as this reaffirms their understanding of the subject matter. This method allows them to apply the same knowledge to different questions as they answer a question using their own words rather than mine.
