As part of a distance-learning Masters degree in association with FUNIBER and the Universidad de León, I carried out an ethnographic action research project using a democratic approach called Community Language Learning. In this approach there is no syllabus or textbook to follow. It is the learners themselves who determine the content by means of meaningful conversations.
It incorporates translation, transcription and recording techniques.

When I am not working I love volunteering, practising ice skating or track cycling with my daughter and also growing an edible garden !

I was born in Madrid where I trained as a primary teacher and classical musician (cello and chamber music).

I worked in Escuelas de Musica in the outskirts of Madrid which are inclusive socially-minded music schools where I taught cello lessons and support the development of the String Department by assisting during orchestra rehearsals. Both adults and children of all ages are welcome to take lessons.

After taking maternative leave I trained to become an online tutor and worked part- time for Own Tutors, Clapham.

In 2019 I founded a learning community Metaforlearning Cic where I run Self-Manage Learning programmes for young people.

In my tutoring work I am reliable, flexible and experienced. Tutoring Approach:
Although I learned all my foreign languages through a rigorous method very much based on writing and grammar, I am happy to adapt my method to my pupil's needs. Personally, I believe that conversation is the key to becoming fluent in a language, but at the same time I do not neglect the importance of writing and reading comprehension. Tutoring Approach:
I give individual and group lessons according to the requirements of my students. The duration may vary from 1 to 3 hours, where I combine conversational practice with grammar, I usually include all aspects of language learning such as listening, speaking, reading and writing. My principal aim is to achieve effective communication in the language I teach. I stick to the principle: learning is fun. There should not be any boredom in the classroom. Every lesson is supposed to be enjoyable and provide more resources for the motivation of the students and me as a teacher. I have mastered certain techniques necessary for teaching online. I have made myself familiar with a broad range of online resources and electronic educational material. I am open to suggestions and flexible in my schedule. I am also very patient and understanding. Hello, I am from Argentina and I graduated with a degree in Spanish as Foreign Language from University of Cordoba (Argentina) in 2012. I am a very organized, patient and enthusiastic person who enjoys the languages and teaching and I always try to adapt myself and my lessons to the needs of my students. I came to England 5 years ago, I learned English as a second language and I really can understand some difficulties or problems to learn a foreign tongue (shyness, understanding, fluency, etc) In addition, When I was in the University I learned about mistakes and difficulties that English people has to learn Spanish language and how to work with this.

I have worked as a Spanish Language Assistant in a boarding school in year 10 to 13 specialising in exam preparation (GCSE and A Levels).

Teaching Experience:
In my country, I worked at the school for 3 years as a Spanish teacher (year 6 to year 11) and I taught Spanish Language to foreign students at the University (from China, Japan, England, Germany, Brazil, etc).

In England, I have been teaching this language since 2016. I have been working with different ages (from 2 to 80 years old) and different levels - face to face and online lessons- Also I have been working as a Spanish Language assistant, helping students to be confident and ready to pass their Spanish Exams (GCSE and A Levels).

Tutoring Approach:
I believe that to learn a second language we have to practice constantly so in my lessons, I speak in Spanish (90%) and my students have to speak as well. I work with grammar, videos and short texts to improve all the skills.
I really consider that teaching a language does not just mean teaching a grammar or phonetics. It also means teaching Spanish culture. For this reason, you will learn more about traditions, foods, etc from different Spanish speaking countries.

My lessons are different depend on my students, their levels, their ages and needs. I create my own materials and I use pictures, books or websites from other tutoring.

- with kids, I love using too many games, stories, cards, crafts and songs. They really learn a lot with this methodology.

Since completing my degree, earning a First in Linguistics and Spanish from St. Catherine's College, Oxford, tutoring has become the mainstay of my work. I regularly attend Oxbridge admissions-focussed events for both schools and the general public, as an experienced mock interviewer, seminar leader, and test coach. My speciality is Spanish, though I always hope for aspiring Linguistics students! Outside of tutoring, I enjoy hiking, cooking, and snooker (even though I'm hopeless at it).

When tutoring, I do not use the word "lesson"; that's a poor description of the dynamic. Students have a goal, and it is the task of both me and a student to work towards that goal. I have a very informal style in the session, but I hope to back this up with good communication and organisation behind the scenes.

I'm an experienced primary educator with over 30 years experience. I will work alongside your child and support them in their learning. Each child is an individual, so there is no 'one size fits all' that matches every child's needs. I have been teaching since 1987. I have experience from EYFS through to Year 6 teaching the Primary Curriculum. I have experience of coordinating various subjects in schools, from Design Technology to being Special Education Needs coordinator. I currently teach KS2 children with Grammar, Spelling, Spanish and Music.
