I have been in Edinburgh for almost 11 years and have been a tutor in Russian, freelance interpreter and translator for all this time. I am the author of four scientific publications in the field of linguistic relations in Russian, English and Tatar.

While living in the UK I have worked as a freelance tutor and translator for Scottish&Newcastle, Scottish Parliament, NHS and Rudolf Steiner School. I am really proud of the fact that among my students are people of different ages, knowledge of Russian and purposes of learning it and who are professionals in different fields for example in language and science teaching, sales and marketing, medical research, social work, to name just a few.

Always try to make students interested in the subject I teach. Create a ftiendly and an encouraging learning environment. Not afraid to praise them even if they do not get immediate good results. I have been teaching languages for more than 8 years. My specialisation is teaching adults. I am proud to say that I am truly passionate about my profession and what I do. Prior to moving to the UK, I was teaching English. I also have experience in preparing students for examinations at the University of Edinburgh.

I try to advance in my profession, constantly improving my materials, skills, methods, techniques, and knowledge. I make my own materials, flashcards and exercises. I also dedicate a fair amount of time to learning new methods, techniques and self-improving.

Place. I can offer one-to-one Russian language lessons in Dunfermline and online tutoring (via Skype) as well.
Materials. Books and resources are provided by me. You will also receive digital and/or printed materials and assignments. My students have access to my custom grammar and vocabulary flashcards for every lesson, that help you learn and memorise words more effectively. I am also collecting useful resources and websites, and I am happy to share that collection with you.

I am a native speaker of Russian and a Head of a very successful Russian department in a grammar school in London. I teach pupils from year 7 to 13.
I have been teaching languages in the UK for the past 25 years and pride myself in helping my students achieve their dream of studying Russian at Oxbridge and other Russel group universities. Many of my pupils fall in love with the language and carry that love throughout their lives. I am a teacher-examiner for GCSE and A level Edexcel Pearson examboard.
