Let me briefly describe you my past experience. I was born in Saint-Petersburg and graduated from Russain State University of Foreign Languages, I have a master's degree in teaching of modern languages. I have been working first at school, then privately for more than 15 years.

I started teaching Russian at Trent College in Derbyshire as an extra-curricular activity for a group of students in year 7-8 and 9, providing all the teaching materials and authentic programme. I covered all the main parts in terms of philology and diverse the lessons with curious facts about the country, traditions and customs. At the end of one term course, students had basic skills in reading and writing, they were able to introduce themselves and speak on common themes (hobbies, cuisine, travelling etc). My name is Dilafruz (Dilya) and I am originally from Tajikistan. My mother tongue is Persian Tajik and also, Russian.
Before I moved to London, I was learning English at university and graduated in Economics and Finance. My passion has always been to live in a city where I could practice and perfect my English.

8 years later, I have three young children (ages 2-7 years) and a baking business. I speak English fluently, have picked up Turkish through TV series and now learning Arabic online! I would like to share my passion for languages and Maths by teaching other children and assist them with their school work / studies.

Teaching Experience:
Not only do I tutor my own children and help them with their school work, but I teach my family friends children too.
In Tajikistan, I used to do babysitting part time which involved having study sessions with the kids after dinner. This involved tutoring and aiding them with their day-to-day homework in various subjects such as: Russian, Maths, History and Art.

Tutoring Approach:
I'm confident in taking lessons online as long as it's through video. My teaching approach is very interactive and only through facial expressions, can I truly see if my tutees are understanding the topics / subjects I'm covering.
My prior experience in babysitting and also having three children has taught me not only patience, but compassion and understanding. I maintain a positive and encouraging attitude at all times, so that my tutees also feel confident and are able to ask me questions without feeling intimidated. I'm also very organised and will come prepared for each lesson to ensure I make the most of the time I have with my tutee.

Hello, my name is Liana. I will be very glad to be your Russian teacher. I have obtained a Teaching Degree in 1998. I have been working as a Russian language teacher at school in London for the past 15 years. I have been online for 3 years now. I am working with children: preschool, primary and secondary ages. I am preparing students for the GCSE exam and working with adults who are interested in Russian language. I like teaching, it is interesting, fun and I always try to help my students as much as possible so that they can speak Russian fluently. I know that we are all different, so an individual approach in my work is the most important thing. My students report that I am a kind, positive, active and supportive teacher. For my student, I try to be the best friend who will always understand and support them. The main goal of my work is that my student speaks Russian confidently and competently, they can write and reflect on various topics. In addition, they have understanding of the grammar of the Russian language. In my lessons I use a lot of different interesting literature, often I develop myself creative tasks on various topics (drawings, diagrams, crossword puzzles, mazes, etc.). I like being a creative teacher, since I myself write children's fairy tales. Sometimes in class, I use video tutorials with assignments for more joyful approach to language learning. At the first lessons, communicating with the student, I find out at what level of their knowledge and what help is needed from me. It is also important to understand what result the student wants to achieve: general improvement of the Russian language or preparation for the exam. Your goal will become my goal in finding the right material for the training. I will become your best friend and mentor in the learning process, I will help and support you in everything. One of my main tasks is to make my student feel comfortable and confident in the lesson. I am a very attentive and kind teacher, so we will solve any difficulties in learning easily and quickly. Teaching Experience:
I am a native speaker of Russian and a Head of a very successful Russian department in a grammar school in London. I teach pupils from year 7 to 13.
I have been teaching languages in the UK for the past 25 years and pride myself in helping my students achieve their dream of studying Russian at Oxbridge and other Russel group universities. Many of my pupils fall in love with the language and carry that love throughout their lives. I am a teacher-examiner for GCSE and A level Edexcel Pearson examboard.
