I first started tutoring some of my fellow students in Elementary Logic during my second year at University and greatly enjoyed helping people improve their understanding of the subject and gain higher marks. Once my degree was completed I began tutoring A-Level students in Religious Studies and Philosophy in the Leeds area before moving to East Sussex.

The potential of tutoring can only be maximised if each student feels comfortable in lessons, so I actively try to cultivate a good working relationship with each student. After all, if I were not enthusiastic and passionate about the subject it would be impossible to motivate any students to be enthusiastic about it! I'm an author and a poet, I have had many poems published, won first prize in an international poetry competition (2011) and have also brought out two collections, which are on sale on Amazon. In 2015 I published my memoir A Hippopotamus at the Table. Set in South Africa in the 1970s. I'm about to publish my second memoir and published a book called Writing Memoir. I am a highly experienced and passionate education professional with a career spanning secondary, further, and higher education. I began as a Secondary Religious Education teacher, supporting learners at GCSE and A-level to achieve their full potential. I then expanded my expertise to Further Education, teaching adults and young people across diverse programmes, honing my ability to personalise learning and motivate students of all backgrounds.

Currently, I work as a Teacher Educator, delivering PGCE and CertEd programmes, where I mentor and train both new and experienced teachers.
