I'm an enthusiastic, keen and good-humoured tutor, who teaches with commitment, dedication, passion and style!

I have been teaching Key Stage 3, GCSE and A level students now for more than 20 years - and I achieve great results.

A native Scot, I attained my English degree (BA Honours) from Stirling University in central Scotland.

Hello, thank you for taking the time to read my profile. My name is Mairead (pronounced ma-raid, an Irish name meaning Margaret). I am a 26 year old living in Feltham, I work full time as a Disability Advisor and Autism Specialist Mentor supporting higher education students to access reasonable adjustments, provide pastoral support and advice. I also co-run workshops and events for the university I work for. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, baking, spending time with my family, going to the gym, long walks and nature trails, swimming and arts and crafts. As an experienced Head of Psychology, A-level teacher and AQA examiner, I have a strong understanding of what examiners are looking for and how students can maximise their marks. I am a highly experienced Psychology teacher with over 11 years of experience teaching A-level Psychology in both the UK and international schools.

Throughout my career, I have held leadership positions as Head of Psychology in both UK secondary schools and a leading international school in Bangkok. These roles have given me extensive experience in curriculum development, examination preparation and supporting students of all abilities to achieve their academic potential.

I specialise in AQA A-level Psychology and also have experience teaching Cambridge International A-level Psychology (9990) and Edexcel International A-level Psychology. I am an experienced AQA examiner for Papers 1 and 3, giving me valuable insight into examination requirements, marking criteria and the skills students need to achieve the highest grades.

Alongside my classroom teaching, I have several years of experience providing one-to-one private tuition, helping students strengthen their subject knowledge, develop their essay-writing skills and improve their examination technique. Hi, I am an enthusiastic and high-achieving sixth-form student currently studying for my A-Levels. Having recently completed my GCSEs with top marks, I have a passion for learning and want to help younger students build their confidence, master difficult topics, and achieve their full academic potential.
