Hi. I'm a native Portuguese speaker from Portugal. I've been teaching European Portuguese in the UK for over 15 years, and for seven years at UK universities. I am a fully qualified Portuguese teacher (U. do Porto). I have a PhD in Portuguese studies. I was the main Portuguese language lecturer at the U. of Manchester for five years full-time, where I taught all levels of Portuguese language (A1/A2 - Beginners; B1/B2 - Intermediate; C1/C2 - advanced). I love teaching and I will make the grammar work for you! My students progress quickly, and see results from day 1 and learn something new every single lesson. I have trialed and tested all the most widely used Portuguese language learning methods and materials and use the most effective ones.

- My lessons are the full hour (60 minutes or more, but never less!).

-I provide email support to my students and original class materials (pronunciation and grammar) for free.

-If you require a teacher to speak Portuguese in Portugal, choose a qualified, experienced teacher from Portugal. Portuguese from Brazil is very different (especially when it comes to pronunciation: phonetics/sounds, the most difficult aspect of the language).

- A native speaker is not a teacher. A language teaching qualification is a proper five years higher education degree, in the theory and practice of language teaching. Think about it, would you ask a driver to fix your car?

I have 7 years full-time teaching experience of Portuguese at U.K. Russell Group Universities. I worked full-time for 5 years at the University of Manchester where I was the only full-time Portuguese language lecturer (16 weekly contact hours with language-specialist students), having left my teaching position to commence my fully-funded PhD studies. I have also taught in the evening and during lunch hours for a Beginners' Portuguese course in the University's Language Centre which targeted a wide range of students, including adult learners and students with no previous language learning and/or higher education experience. I have also marked my students' yearly exams, periodic written tests, essays and oral and listening exams. Hi, I am Ana, the founder of a company. It was created from my own passion for languages and entrepreneurship. I am here to help you to learn Portuguese in line with your desired pace and previous experience of learning languages.

Teaching Experience:
I have attended João de Deus University in Lisbon and I also hold a QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) recognised by the National College for Teaching and Leadership UK. João de Deus was a poet and pedagogue whose teaching methods I have adopted in my practice. I work as an Examiner for UK examination boards: Cambridge Assessment International Education & Pearson Edexcel UK.

I am here to expand your language skills, help you to speak confidently and to achieve your true potential. Positive minds, positive vibes! Learning a language does take time, so be patient and have fun!

hi :) my name is Ana and I am a Portuguese native speaker my second language is English. I live in Uk for 12 years where I've taken English course . My main language daily is English at work, at home.

Teaching Experience:
I have tutoring for over 5 years now. I have being tutoring adults, children and teenagers to achieve their gcse and even famous football players. People have been searching for me for short time classes so they are able to travel and understand the foreign language.

Tutoring Approach:
I understand learning a new language is not easy and also can be frustrating, but reassure yourself I am happy to repeat every matter until you understand and I will assess your difficulties and make sure you can overtake any challenges you may encounter during your tutoring time. I am flexible with availability to teach you , we can work on your pace. Depending what are you looking for, I will provide materials so you can understand and can reach your goal successfully. I do tutor online mainly but I'm willing to travel if you live nearby and for a extra cost.
