I have never taught full-time (although I was once up to around two-thirds of a full timetable). I have worked in further education colleges and as a supply-teacher, mostly in secondary. I am a History Graduate and freelance researcher, having worked as a Surveyor in the research industry for over ten years, and have a long-established interest in History and analysing World Affairs, factoring in the economic and political dynamics of what is unfolding and then in presenting my findings through discussion and writing. So, it was largely due to my ongoing fascination with History and World Affairs that I decided to launch 'World' and build an online community open to the public. However, my first and greatest passion has always been History which I love researching, discussing, writing about, and sharing with others.

Throughout my career, I have supported students from GCSE to A Level, helping them develop confidence, improve their academic skills and achieve their personal goals.
I specialise in English Language, English Literature, History and Government & Politics, with a particular focus on examination preparation, essay writing, critical analysis and developing the skills needed to achieve strong grades.
