Personal Description:
I am a Cambridge graduate currently teaching at a secondary school in Birmingham. I offer private tuition in English and Latin as well as Oxbridge application advice.
I specialise in coaching students through GCSE/A Level. However, I am happy to help all students from 11+ and even adult learners. I am proud of my strong track-record in helping students to achieve excellent results in their exams.
A little about my academic background: I graduated with a degree in English from the University of Cambridge (Girton College) in 2008 and in 2010 completed a Masters in Medieval Literature and History at the University of York. In 2019 I completed my PGCE at the University of Warwick and have since taught in a local secondary school.
Teaching Experience:
I am experienced teacher currently employed at a Birmingham secondary school, where I teach across Key Stages 3,4 and 5.
I have several years of experience in private tuition and and have tutored students preparing for GCSEs and A Levels in Latin, English (both language and literature), and Politics & Government. I've had great success in helping students of a range of abilities improve subject confidence and achieve exceptional results (including many A*s and Grade 9s).
Tutoring Approach:
Latin:
Puzzled by perfect participles?
Confused by conjugations?
...and what on earth is a gerundive?
Let's face it, studying Latin can be difficult, but it is the challenge which makes it such a rewarding subject.
My approach to teaching Latin is to develop translation skills whilst reinforcing the key building blocks of grammar. I endeavour to work at the student's own pace and tailor my sessions to complement school work.
English:
As a qualified teacher of English, I understand how to get the best out of students. I have an intimate knowledge of most GCSE and A Level set texts and can advise students on revision strategies and exam technique.
I am comfortable working at different paces and levels to support the individual needs of a student.
It is difficult to offer a single "approach to tutoring" as I believe the right teaching method depends entirely on the interests, level, and personality of the individual student.
Interviews:
I am also available to tutor students preparing for university entrance interviews (in particular Oxbridge). Having experienced the process first-hand, I feel I am well positioned to offer meaningful advice on how a candidate can impress during the application and interview process. I am willing to conduct mock interviews.

Personal Description:
I am an active independent-scholar and writer, living near St Andrews University. I have written numerous books and articles and am currently working on a new book as well as tutoring a handful of students. I am also a former Academic Advisor to students in the United States of America, and I have worked for two tutoring companies in Oxford since returning to the UK. I am therefore familiar with the needs of international students when it comes to navigating the English and Scottish University systems. I focus on technique over content with a particular emphasis on writing skills, though I also read all the books and articles my students are required to read, so that I can help them with content when required.
Teaching Experience:
Award winning teacher at the University of Georgia, 1999-2000
Academic Adviser to University Students from 2003-2007
Tutor Oxford International Study Centre, April 2013 - May 2014
Carfax Tutorial Establishment, November 2013 - May 2014
Freelance Tutor ongoing.
Tutoring Approach:
I adopt a holistic approach to tutoring, working with a student to address her or his individual academic needs. I am process-orientated, building on a student's strengths and eliminating weaknesses. I am also practical, constantly working towards the student's objectives. As a result, I focus very much on academic skills and developing the student's academic toolbox, so that they can gain confidence and become independent learners.

Personal Description:
I previously worked as a global spokesperson for the United Nations and consultant to governments across the world for over a decade and am a graduate from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). I am available for tutoring on a variety of subjects, particularly politics, economics, journalism, history, philosophy, media and communications and general writing skills. I am particularly adept at helping students develop their essay writing skills, with a structure and tone that secures high grades. I'm also available to provide help with exam revision, revision techniques, entrance exam preparation, university applications and general reading and writing skills.
Teaching Experience:
I have multiple years of experience of tutoring social science subjects to students from a range of different nationalities and backgrounds. I have a strong track record of improving grade scores and passing exams first time. I have proof-read essays for a large number of students who have all subsequently scored top marks for spelling and grammar. I have also formerly proof-read documents in a professional setting for businesses from across Europe and Africa.
Tutoring Approach:
I am flexible in my approach and am happy to adapt to any student's needs. I look to work on all aspects of a student's approach, including revision technique, writing style and exam preparation. My preference is for committed students who will practice and implement what is learnt outside of lessons. I typically set students exercises for completion before the next lesson in addition to revision work for practice essay questions. The more committed a student is to our classes, the more they will gain from them.

Personal Description:
I am an experienced sociology tutor and proofreader having taught in the sociology department at the University of Warwick for four years and also for a short while in the School of Languages and Social Sciences at the University of Aston. (I can also tutor at this level in modern history, politics and international relations). I have BA in sociology and politics from Oxford Brookes University and an MSc in social science research methods from Sussex. I completed my doctorate at the University of Warwick. In addition to my university work, I have tutored for a private agency (where I held an advanced CRB certificate) at A-level in sociology, politics and modern history. My last DBS was held from 2023 to 2024. I have a good record of helping A-level students to achieve the grades they require for a place in higher education and I have continued this success whilst tutoring independently. I live in Marlborough, Wiltshire.
At A-level I am happy to help with essay writing and subject research and prep for exams. Please contact me early in your studies though (early in the academic year, as early intervention has greater rewards...).For undergraduates, I can offer advice on essay and dissertation construction and also on writing style and format. Additionally, I can help to formulate ideas for research projects and can proof read long or short drafts.
I charge £50 per week for ongoing students - A-level or undergraduate - one-off jobs are charged according to the complexity of work - I do not charge hourly. I take payment in advance.
Teaching Experience:
I have tutored at A-level and taught at undergraduate level for 7 years. I also worked as a sessional lecturer at Aston University for a year.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach to tutoring is simple: I help to give students the skills and knowledge they require to achieve their goals in education.

Personal Description:
I have taught, supervised and mentored more than 1000 BSc, MSc and PhD students from around the world to deliver individual and team projects. I worked as a trainer, programme leader and module coordinator in the courses on IT Strategy and Management, Global Business and Sustainable Management, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Public Sector Management and Research Methods (Qualitative & Quantitative), supervising & managing research projects, (re)developing curricula for eLearning, producing course syllabi and designing evaluation methods together with colleagues and support staff in various UK and European universities.
Teaching Experience:
I am competent in most subjects within Management and Economics programmes and have extensive experience in thesis and assignment supervision, research guidance as well as academic writing.
MSc Dissertation in Project Management with A. - I worked with A. to help her with her MSc Dissertation in Project Management. I clarified the key issues and concepts, helped her develop a plan and a reading as well as reference list. Tutored her academic writing skills and coached her throughout the entire process. She was almost sure she would have failed, yet not only she ended up enjoying the time dedicated to her dissertation, but she also achieved a merit.
MSc dissertation in Economics with I. - I. was confused about the literature and the research for his course work and dissertation, he was also worried about his writing style. With regular sessions with me, I. gained the understanding and tools to improve his research and writing and submit his course work dissertation on time.
Research Methods (MBA dissertation) with P. - I helped P. prepare a first class approach for the research methodology of his MBA dissertation and to identify articles in arabic that were relevant for his topic.
BSc, Project Management Essay with J. - J. was under intense time pressure to deliver his project management essay and prepare for his exams at the same time. I worked with him two days in a row so that he could achieve high results in both.
BSc, Management, Accounting & Economic Philosophy assignments tuition with T. - T. is a hard working student from China. Unfortunately, his brilliance and knowledge was not emerging following his first essay results. Working with him 2/4 hours per week for 4 months, T. is now confident again he can truly express his knowledge and get the results he deserves.
BSc, Microeconomics tuition with H. - I worked with H., a native English speaker understand the way to approach and revise for her micro-economics module. She requested one week of intense online tuition, albeit the exam was imminent in one month. H. has now successfully completed the module
BSc, Advanced Economics Subjects, Econometrics (essay based) with V. - I worked 2 and half months giving V. 2-5 hours of tuition every day to prepare for his exams and coursework. V. learning needs had to be tailored to his special needs: being a dyslexic student I had to stimulate his learning ability and memory skills using visual aids and ad hoc examples. Even if the subjects were highly technical he benefited immensely from my dedicated approach, exclusive to him.
MBA dissertation with H. - H. was a full-time working mum of two children with special needs and had very little time to complete her MBA dissertation which was due in two months when we started. Working evenings and weekends with me H. was able to complete and submit her thesis on time and still thanks me for it!
BSc, Economic Development, Regulation, Business & Management with S. - I gave S. tutoring in three final year BSc subjects helping him increase his grades and better plan for his revision in order to use her time well.
PhD Management tutoring with K. - K. is one of my current tutees studying for a PhD in management. We have highly intellectual sessions on his research progress and he consults with me regularly on all aspects of his PhD studies.
Economic Development BSc exam preparation with J. - J. needed to discuss his understanding of the module to better prepare for his exam. He requested me to have regular questions and answers sessions one a week for two weeks with him so that any knowledge gaps could be filled. Our tutorials helped him relieve the stress and anxiety of the exam preparation.

TESTIMONIALS:
The feedback Diego gave me was a clear view on how to improve my work
Diego has been very helpful and gives clear information. His classes are very interesting and I have chosen his courses because of his approach.
Diego is a wonderful tutor. His teaching approach towards the subject has made me develop my interest in it.
Diego, for my personal opinion, has been really helpful for me to understand the real meaning of the subject.
The tutoring Diego gave me was great and I wouldn't have been able to do my essay to a good standard without his help!
I am happy with tutoring sessions with Diego, as I was trying to establish the research methods and his advice was helpful.
As a dyslexic final year undergraduate, I would not have been able to complete my revision on time without Diego's tutorials.

I am also flexible and can accommodate time changes etc to suit families. I find it easy to get on with people and ensure that I create a positive connection with the young person-one which helps them to believe in themselves and to work to the best of their ability. I also pride myself on my punctuality, organisation skills and professionalism. I also understand the need to maintain communication so as the family knows their child's progress and the next steps.

Personal Description:
Professional History and Politics tutor, Tutors` Association member, former university lecturer, Associate Fellow RHS, PhD, PGCE, +10 years experience.
Hi! My name's Joe and I am a full-time, professional tutor and have been offering expert tuition in A level History and Politics since 2014.
I previously worked as a university lecturer and Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Modern History after completing my PhD in History in October 2021. As a result, I have an acute understanding of the skills required to study at advanced level, an insight I will provide to help you master your A levels.
I have tutored over 60 History modules across AQA, OCR and Edexcel specifications, and my published research expertise centres on modern history, specifically empire, imperialism, and decolonisation. If you struggle with any aspect of the subject, whether its how to improve the structure of your essays, refine your primary source analysis skills, or more effectively assess interpretations, I can guide and support you through practical ways to elevate your engagement with the subject. Beyond A level History, I warmly welcome enquires from undergraduate and postgraduate History students looking for supervision and support in essay and/or dissertation research and writing.
I have also taught the full suite of modules for A level Politics for both AQA and Edexcel specifications. Whether you're learning the subject for the first time or resitting your exam, lessons are tailored to help you engage with Politics in an exciting and thought-provoking way that combines in-depth and up to date analysis of current political events with a comprehensive grounding in political theory - all whilst making it enjoyable too!
Don't hesitate to get in touch; I would be delighted to help.
Teaching Experience:
Don`t just take my word for it, here is just a snapshot of the great results and feedback I`ve got from past students:
"I'm happy to let you know that I received an A in History, I was the only one in my year to achieve an A in History!! Many thanks for all your help over the years, really appreciate it."
"Thank you so much, and thank you for all your help in History! I got an A and I got my offer so will be going to Oxford in October!"
"I got an A overall in history! Could not have managed it without your tutoring, particularly in the coursework but also in cultivating a general historical understanding and appreciation. I will be going to Leeds in September to do history - very excited for it."
"I am delighted to say that I received an A grade for my History A Level, with a mark of 156/200, so I am in a much stronger position to apply for university than I was last year. I would like to express my gratitude for your mentoring and encouragement throughout the last year, my result would not have been possible without your outstanding teaching. I still find myself using the comprehension and analytical skills you helped me develop, and it is a skill I expect to continue to use at university. Thank you for a fantastic year of teaching, I have enjoyed it immensely."
"I managed to somehow get into Oxford and got an A in history which I'm really happy with. I don't know if I was near a boundary or not but heard there was very few A's given out this year for history especially at our college but overall happy! Thank you very much for your help!"
"Thank you! I managed to get into my first choice, University of Exeter, which I`m very happy about. Thank you for all your help over the past year."
"All results are in and I got a B for History. Kings College have accepted my application and I will be taking up my place to study there in September! Thank you so much for everything you have done. I honestly do not think I would have achieved this result if it had not have been for your input and teaching. On top of this, you have inspired and helped prepare me for my undergraduate studies through your teaching and I cannot thank you enough for this."
"I managed to receive a grade A! I'm very pleased with it, and the coursework component seems to have made the difference. Thank you ever so much for all the help and support over the months."
"Attached is my results, I achieved the A in history!! Durham confirmed! Can't quite believe it! Thank you ever so much for improving my grades, my attitude to History and my exam skills. Your help this past year has been invaluable and has had such a positive impact on my sensibilities."
"I got into Durham and got AAB. I got an A in politics so it all went well. Thank you for all the help you gave me."
"I have my place at Bristol, so I`m very happy! Thank you so much for all of your help, I honestly wouldn`t have been able to achieve that grade without having had the sessions with you. What I learnt was hugely valuable to my understanding of the subject, and it improved the way I wrote history essays immensely- I am incredibly grateful!"
"Thank you for helping me!! I got an A in History and am going to Manchester Uni my first choice!! All the structure work and essay writing definitely helped me build my confidence!"
"Thank you Joe! I got into Cardiff! Thank you so much for your help this year! Couldn`t have done it without you :)"
"I have you to thank endlessly because I got an A* in History! Thank you very much."
"Thanks so much! I got an A in politics and a B in History. It would never have happened without you - even my teachers can`t believe it!"
"I got my A!!!! Just wanted to say thank you so much - I definitely couldn`t have done it without you." (History)
"Just thought I`d let you know I got 3A* and a A* in EPQ. In Politics I got 100/100 and 92/100 so very happy! Thank you for all your help over the past 2 years."
"Just wanted to let you know I got an A in my history A level. I got 92% in the resit unit so I was very pleased with this result. Thanks for all your help, it clearly has made a difference."
"Thanks very much for your help this year, and I will carry your advice with me into my History course in Exeter in September." (A-level History, grade: A)
"I got a B in history - so it went up by 2 grades from the last time so thank you so much for all the tutoring I couldn`t have done it without you!" -
"I just wanted to thank you for your amazing history tutoring. I got 99% in my Pitt to Peel re-sit without which I would not have got the grades I needed. Thank you so much."
"I GOT AN A!!! Thank you so much for all of your help, I honestly couldn`t have done it without you!"
"I`ve just got my results and they are enough for me to continue on the recruiting process into the navy. I just wanted to say thank you very much for your time and efforts this year. You were a great teacher and I cannot thank you enough for getting me through this exam."
"I`m just letting you know that I ended with 75 UMS in politics which considering I was incredibly ill on the day of the exam is a great achievement and as a result I got into my first choice university! I`d just like to thank you so much for all your help throughout the year as I couldn`t have achieved this without your help!"
Tutoring Approach:
My approach to one-to-one tuition tailors to the individual needs of each and every student, enabling you to build on your strengths, identify areas for improvement, and achieve that all important grade. With the knowledge and experience gained from my PGCE and over ten years of teaching, I will help you successfully develop your independence, resilience, and skills as a student so that you can take on the challenge of exams with confidence, whilst also preparing you to take on new challenges beyond the classroom.

Personal Description:
Bonjour!
I hold a double degree in Law and Language Studies from the University of Grenoble Alpes, along with a Master's in International Law. French is my mother tongue, giving me a profound understanding of its structure, nuances, and culture.
Fluent in French, English, Spanish, and Kurdish, I connect easily with learners from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. With over three years of experience teaching French to international students, I have helped learners at all levels achieve success, whether for exams, professional development, or personal growth. Teaching English in France further refined my ability to adapt lessons to individual needs.
Each lesson is tailored to suit your goals, whether you're preparing for exams (DELF/DALF, GCSE, A-Level), planning a trip to France, enhancing your professional communication, or simply aiming to improve fluency and confidence in conversations. My approach is flexible and focuses on delivering clear, measurable progress.
Passionate about sharing the richness of the French language and culture, I strive to create engaging, effective lessons that inspire learners. From beginners to advanced students, I am dedicated to helping you reach your full potential while making the learning process enjoyable and rewarding..
Teaching Experience:
I've had the chance to teach in a variety of settings, from large groups to one-on-one sessions. For a year, I taught English to a class of 33 first-year law students, designing lessons that focused on the specific language skills they needed in a legal context. I created activities to improve both their written and oral comprehension and regularly assigned homework, which they'd send to me for corrections and feedback.
I also taught a smaller group of 15 students twice a week for a year. This gave me the chance to connect with them more individually and adapt my lessons to their needs.
For the past two years, I've been working with individual students once or twice a week, depending on their goals and level of independence. Each lesson is tailored to their needs, with structured exercises and tasks to help them improve their written and spoken skills. I always make sure to provide regular feedback so they can track their progress and stay motivated.
Tutoring Approach:
I design every lesson to fit each student's unique needs, using a learner-focused approach grounded in proven language acquisition techniques. In our first session, I take time to understand their strengths, weaknesses, and learning style. From there, I create a structured learning plan tailored to their specific goals-whether it's building conversational fluency, mastering legal vocabulary, or preparing for exams.
To make learning engaging and effective, I use active strategies like task-based exercises, spaced repetition for vocabulary retention, and scenario-based activities that help students apply their skills in real-life situations. I also create personalized vocabulary quizzes on Quizlet, so students can practice key terms at their own pace and reinforce what they've learned. These interactive methods keep lessons dynamic and ensure steady progress.
To track improvement, I provide study guides, customized assignments, and practice tests. During lessons, I use real-time feedback to adapt our strategies as needed, ensuring each student stays on the right path. My goal is not only to help students achieve short-term success, but also to build their confidence and develop lasting language skills.
I'm flexible with scheduling and work around my students' availability to provide consistent support throughout their learning journey.

Personal Description:
University of Cambridge Undergraduate. I achieved 9 A*`s at GCSE and A*A*A*A in my A-Levels.
As someone who has recently experienced what it is like doing the new style of GCSE`s and A-Levels, I understand and recognise what works best in order for students to excel beyond what they think might be their limits. Having achieved 9 A*`s at GCSE(6 "9`s" for GCSE and 3 "A*`s for IGCSE) and A*A*A*A at A-Level recently, I understand what approach works best in order for a student to excel and what the exam boards are looking for so that the pupil can achieve the best grades. I am able to teach a wide variety of exam boards.
My students feel that it is very easy to connect with how I teach and are not afraid to ask questions or approach my teaching in a fun and informal manner. I provide my students with resources that I myself used to achieve my grades, which allows them to truly know whether they have grasped a topic.
I am passionate about developing personalised learning experiences and effective tutoring techniques to increase academic achievement and encourage a love of learning.
Teaching Experience:
With over 3 years of extensive tutoring experience - having clocked in hundreds upon hundreds of hours - I have relished helping pupils sky-rocket their grades. During my time tutoring I have helped students of all ages - helping them with their 11+, GCSE's, A-Level's and University Admissions. Every single one of my students have achieved their desired grades that, in turn, have helped them get admission into their dream secondary school, dream sixth form, or dream university (with many students getting into Oxbridge and other Russell Group Universities). A significant percentage of those I tutor come to me for help in Economics, Maths, Politics and help in their University Applications (from help with their personal statements to Oxbridge support for their desired course).
Tutoring Approach:
In my tutoring sessions, I prioritise engaging and straightforward lessons that are academically stimulating without being overly complex. I foster an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions at any point, thereby maintaining a focused and confident learning space. Through active recall and spaced repetition techniques, I help students retain knowledge efficiently, while constantly assessing their understanding using a variety of resources including past papers and a personalised question bank.
I craft personalised learning plans, tailored to each student's abilities and the requirements of any exam board, filling knowledge gaps and building on existing understanding. Moreover, I keep parents informed about their child's progress and areas for development, fostering a collaborative approach to achieving academic success. My goal is to not only help students achieve their academic potential but to enjoy the learning process along the way.

Personal Description:
I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of Oxford studying Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. I achieved a distinction in my first year examinations, as well as A*A*A* at A-Level in Maths, Politics, and Economics. I am strongly committed to academic success and hugely passionate about teaching. I am available to give online tuition for GCSE Maths and Economics, as well as A-Level Maths, Politics, and Economics. I am also able to provide help with personal statements, the TARA (previously TSA) admissions test for Oxford, and Oxbridge interviews.
Teaching Experience:
I have over two years of experience with private tuition and giving support to younger students in school across a range of subjects. This includes leading group revision sessions as well as providing individual help with exam questions. As well as this, I have spent time in China teaching English to various different age groups. Having sat the exams that my students are working towards, I am in a very strong position to help them succeed.
Tutoring Approach:
I aim to give my students not only a better understanding of the subject content, but also the skills to be able to study effectively. I have found this to be an invaluable skill that will help them massively. Throughout my academic career, I have invested much time into developing the most effective study techniques and understanding the science behind learning. In my lessons, I focus in particular on what students find difficult through listening to them as well as assessing their level through exam questions.

Personal Description:
I am a Religious Studies and Politics tutor based in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
In the 2017 A-Level series I scored first in Northern Ireland for Religious Studies and second in Northern Ireland for Government & Politics. I can teach you the same study and exam techniques that enabled me to score highly in the CCEA GCSE and A-Level exams.
I have a Bachelor of Theology degree from Queen's University Belfast and a Master of Theology degree from the University of Aberdeen.
Teaching Experience:
I have been tutoring since September 2017. I have tutored a mix of school pupils, homeschoolers and adult learners.
Tutoring Approach:
I start by explaining the concepts and then focus on past paper questions and exam technique. The specification for both Religious Studies and Government & Politics has not changed since 2016 so there is a decade's worth of past papers to learn from!
For Politics, I can teach the CCEA GCSE course and the following units for A-Level:
AS 1: Northern Ireland
AS 2: The British Political Process
A2 1: Comparative Politics - Great Britain and the United States of America
A2 2: Political Power
For Religious Studies, I studied the Philosophy and Ethics units for both GCSE and A-Level and these are the units I tutor most frequently. I am also confident tutoring the Biblical studies units, drawing from my university studies in Theology.

Personal Description:
I am a History and Politics tutor, examiner for IB Diploma and formerly, for AQA A-level. Long-term experience, nationally and internationally, as teacher and tutor.
After years of teaching in England and internationally (South America, Japan and Bangladesh), I am currently based in Germany, where I have taught in accredited International Schools for several years.
I have a German/EU extended certificate of good conduct - equivalent to the DBS background check - which also covers the UK. This is available to view on request.
Teaching Experience:
I have developed a specialist approach in one-to-one remote learning for students locally and worldwide, applying current standards of inclusive education for ESL, SEN and Dyslexic learners.
* 25 years experience in the classroom - History, Humanities, Group 3 KS 3-5
* 15 years tutoring one-to-one
* MA in History
* Former HoD History, I/C Humanities faculty
* Examiner
* PGCE and QTS - History and Social Sciences.
* Expertise AQA, Edexcel, OCR, WJEC, Cambridge and IB Diploma
Tutoring Approach:
I am available for homeschooling, school support, exam coaching, revision and resits. Short- and long-term tuition is available.
Resources are tailored to the requirements of each tutee and available for sharing on One Drive or Google Drive during the period of paid tuition. I use Microsoft Teams or Google Meet, with additional interactive sites such as One Note.
The first session will be an opportunity to find out more about the type of tuition, the course and the resources that are available. It provides an 'ice breaker' so that tuition can be an enjoyable as well as an effective experience. All standard bookings are made with prepayment, covering 4 hours over a maximal 4-week period*. This keeps a continuity to the planning and confirms the scheduled session without being too rigid. Once a cycle of 4 lessons is complete, you can renew or cancel with no further commitment.
According to past students, I am described as -
• 'informative and entertaining'
• 'calm, punctual and organised'
• 'Listens well, very enthusiastic and encouraging.'

Personal Description:
Outside of teaching, I have a wide range of interests that reflect my creative and lifelong love of learning. I play several musical instruments and enjoy a variety of creative arts including drawing, painting, crochet, cross-stitch and creative writing. I also find great enjoyment in gardening, which allows me to relax and connect with nature.
I am naturally curious, I enjoy watching documentaries and keeping up to date with current affairs.
Most importantly, I value spending quality time with my family and close friends.
These interests help me bring creativity, enthusiasm and a well-rounded perspective to my teaching, allowing me to build positive relationships with students and make learning both engaging and enjoyable.
Teaching Experience:
I am a qualified teacher with a PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), specialising in Religious Studies. During my secondary school teaching career, I taught Key Stage 3, GCSE and A Level Religious Studies, English and Politics as well as History and Geography at Key Stage 3. This experience enabled me to develop strong subject knowledge and expertise in preparing students for examinations while fostering critical thinking and confidence in their learning.
For the past 12 months, I have also taught across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, delivering engaging lessons in Mathematics, English, Science and Humanities subjects.
Throughout my career, I have worked with a diverse range of learners and have extensive experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), teaching children and young people from the ages of 4 to 19.
As a fully qualified teacher with QTS, I am committed to maintaining the highest standards of student welfare and safety. I hold up to date training and certifications in Safeguarding, Prevent Duty, Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) Awareness and Allergy Awareness. These qualifications ensure that I am well equipped to create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students. My extensive experience working with children and young people (including those with SEND) enables me to recognise and respond appropriately to individual needs while promoting wellbeing, confidence and academic success.
Tutoring Approach:
I create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions and develop their skills.
I tailor my approach to suit each student's individual needs and learning style. I encourage academic growth, by building confidence, and helping students reach their goals through engaging and effective teaching.
I believe that every student learns differently, which is why I personalise each lesson to suit their individual needs, abilities, and learning style. I take the time to identify each student's strengths, areas for improvement and academic goals, then I tailor my teaching approach accordingly.
Whether a student benefits from visual aids, practice questions, step-by-step explanations or interactive discussions, I adapt my lessons to help them learn effectively.
