Hello, my name is Christopher, I've taught Science and Mathematics for over 20 years, having previously taught Chemistry and Lower Science at Highgate School, North London, as well as Science and Mathematics at City of London School for Girls. I established a tuition business back in 2005, after graduating from Oxford University (Worcester College 2001 - 2005), with a Masters in Chemistry.

A 120 minute session is charged at a reduced rate of £120.

Online lessons are streamed in full HD using professional audio, visual and lighting equipment, ensuring your experience is as close as possible to in-person tuition. Furthermore, I utilise an electronic whiteboard, so you can take notes during the lesson and we can discuss problems in real-time. Lastly, practice questions, mark schemes and notes can be sent over instantly during the lesson.

I have a BSc and an MSc in science and a PhD in engineering and have a theoretical and practical knowledge of maths and science. As well as that I have a lot of experience in industry and working around the world. The plan typically consists of weekly or fortnightly lessons depending on the content the student needs to cover; some students need to focus only on specific topics, while others need support throughout the year.

During the lessons, I focus both on supporting the students with the new material they have to learn and on filling the gaps they might have in order to build a solid foundation. To do that, I use worksheets that are focused on a specific topic and past exam papers that can help students prepare for tests and exams.

I organise my lessons so that the students can think of how to solve exercises while I guide them to the solution, rather than tell them what to do step by step. That way, they develop their own method to understand and study Maths and boost their confidence.
