I have worked with many gifted children and those also who find education a challenge. I specialise in special needs especially dyslexia and Autism. After training as a teacher and the a medical doctor I find that my interest has remained in the education field and so am now to begin training as an Educational Psychologist with the Institute of Education, University of London.

My general approach to teaching is to enhance individual skills by providing an individual programme for the student. The key is for them to understand the topic by linking to something which they previously now. This creates a connection in their brain to help them remember and understand the concept long-term. It is vital for students to truly get excited about the subject so by using real life examples, they can remember concepts more easily. I believe in going through problems with the students first and showing a clear example, then allowing them to practise until they understand and can do the problems on their own. Furthermore I sometimes guide them in the right direction without actually telling the answer so the child is able to figure it out for themselves. I would follow the syllabus provided and teach every topic in suitable order. Then I had work through past papers and leave them papers and homework on each topic to practise. I would try to create a spark and make the pupils interested in the subject so that they can pursue their further studies with more enthusiasm. Finally, I always listen to the client and exactly what they require so I can adapt my approach.

Personal Description:
I am a dedicated and enthusiastic tutor based in Muswell Hill, with a real passion for helping students in North London and beyond unlock their potential. I currently work part-time at a secondary school in the area, and have previous experience in an independent school in Hampstead. I have also spent valuable time living in Quebec, deepening my cultural and linguistic understanding.

I pride myself on building a strong rapport with students, making lessons both engaging and supportive. I tutor pupils ranging from 6 years old to adult learners in Maths, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, History, Entrance exams and 11+ preparation, including preparation for London day schools.

In my free time, I enjoy exploring the green spaces of Alexandra Park, browsing the independent shops on Muswell Hill Broadway, and swimming. I recently completed the Parkland Walk challenge.

Teaching Experience:
I bring extensive and diverse teaching experience to my tutoring. I currently work part-time in a secondary school in North London, and have previously taught at a comprehensive in Islington. I have also completed supply teaching across London boroughs, as well as a valuable teaching placement in Birmingham. In my school roles, I have held responsibilities for curriculum developmentand year group mentoring, which informs my holistic approach to student progress.
