Results for KS4 double entry were 97% A*-C with 8 students over achieving and gaining A grades. Mixed triple science class achieved 90% A*-C.

KS3 results for year 9 top set and bottom sets were in excess of 75% achieving 2 sub levels of progress or more over the course of the academic year, which meant that students with a KS3 grade of 3 would be studying for triple science.

I have a dual background in Electrical Engineering and Psychology and retired in 2007 after 20 years as a University lecturer. Engineering is one of the hardest subjects you can study, and it doesn't help when module content is disorganised, learning materials are messy and hard to follow, and when lecturers are too busy to respond to your questions. My lessons are very much dependent on my initial assessment of the students, but usually involve discussions and activities to identify areas that need developing, explicitly teaching the material that students need help with, checking their understanding, then providing lots of opportunities to practise the content, leading to exam practice by emphasising on examination techniques.

I truly believe that everyone is capable of succeeding in their GCSEs and A level with hard work and the right guidance.
