I received an outstanding set of GCSE grades and my set of results was even published in the school newspaper. I like helping younger students in any way possible, in year 10, I helped those who have come from foreign countries or have a lower reading level and have difficulty reading to become fluent readers through a 'reading buddies' programme. I have taught at both primary- and secondary-school levels, with my students ranging between the ages of 6 and 16.

My experiences in this area are in Down syndrome, dyslexia dyspraxia, ADHD, Asperger's, ASD, verbal dyspraxia and sensory processing disorder. I've also taught pupils with cerebral palsy, deafness and visual acuity problems. I`ve completed a basic sign language course & RPM for ASD. I did this so I could communicate with pupils, without relying on a teaching assistant to translate for them/me.
Apart from classroom teaching and tutoring I've also been a curriculum coordinator for people with ASD. I specialize in helping clients with learning difficulties and disabilities (ASD, ADHD, Asperses, & dyslexia/dyspraxia). This role involved designing a unique syllabus/curriculum and managed a group of educators.

Tutoring Approach:
I believe it`s very important to understand how people approach learning. Everyone learns differently. I like to understand a pupils strengths through looking at how they learn (Visual, Auditory and Kinaesthetic (VAK)). I take the information I learn and find the best way to adapt teaching/learning. I like to use a holistic approach.

I have 22 years teaching experience. I have taught Chemistry to GCSE, BTEC and GNVQ and A Level Chemistry to Year 12. I have also taught Biology to GCSE Level and Physics to KS3 Level. I have Primary experience in both KS1 and KS2.

I gained membership of the Royal Society of Chemistry and have undertaken volunteer work for them. Tutoring Approach:
I have a number of year tutoring experience for Chemistry and all my tutees have passed their GCSE.

Lesson will consist of prepared notes which will be discussed during the tutoring sessions. There will be supported by use of worksheets and then exam style questions. Each lesson will be based on specific areas of the syllabus that is intended to support the work that is being undertaken in the classroom. This will follow the part of the syllabus being taught in the classroom, to support and re-inforce student learning.

I use videos to support learning and these will be showed used a laptop. I will use a projector (if it is possible). If the student wishes to only look at specific areas if the syllabus, then I will undertake to produce material to support this request.

I am a qualified secondary science teacher who specialises in Biology. I currently work at Buxton and Leek College as Lead Lecturer for T-Level Health and BTEC Health and Social Care. I have a degree in Biology, experience working within the NHS and I am currently tutoring to students in the evenings, alongside my full time FE teaching role.
I am a very relaxed teacher, who likes to get to know my students so I can tailor a personalised approach to my lessons.
I am a huge Harry Potter fan, love books, movies and board games.

I am a PGCE trained science teacher and I have spent 1 year teaching in a secondary school where I was able to teach all science subjects to GCSE students. I ran an after school science club to a group of students who were wanting additional support. I have spent the past 1.5 years lecturing at Buxton College to T-Level and BTEC students, teaching both Biology and Chemistry to level 3 and 4 students plus healthcare units. I have also been private tutoring for the past 10 months in the evenings.

I will first start by gauging my students abilities, strengths and weaknesses. I will then develop a personalised plan for each student so that we can develop areas of weakness and build upon their core strengths. I have a very relaxed style and realise that students learn better when they are engaged and interested in he content. I like to relate science to a real world context, so that students know why they are being taught the information.
