I volunteer at Marden Primary Academy as a classroom assistant and thoroughly enjoy helping out.

I have been tutoring maths, physics, biology, piano and theory of music for 2.5 years and have done home-schooling.

Tutoring Approach:
A patient approach, finding where a student is and then leading them on to a secure standard, with a feeling that it wasn't so difficult after all. Visual learning techniques are employed where possible in addition to learning by muscle memory, coordinating with any school work and homework so that there is no confusion with approach. I really enjoy tutoring and have fun which I think enables the students to ask questions which perhaps they were less able to do in a classroom environment.

Personal Description:
I am currently a teacher of physics at a leading independent school in Bristol. I am also a head of year, coach cricket, help run our DoE and Ten Tors program, and run an engineering and bike club at school.

Teaching Experience:
I have taught physics up to A-level, and some Key Stage 4 maths, for 15 years. My PhD in engineering was in mathematical modelling hence I am able to teach both maths and physics. I also do Oxbridge engineering and physics preparation and have much experience in this area.

Tutoring Approach:
I do not have a particular approach. What I can say is that I am a very competent and popular teacher who consistently delivers excellent exam results. I am enthusiastic about my subject and really enjoy teaching, and this comes across to all my students.

I am the head of Biology and a qualified science teacher currently teaching at an Outstanding school in Ealing. I am currently teaching A level Biology as well as Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at the GCSE level.

Teaching Experience:
I have seven years of experience teaching Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at secondary and GSCE levels, and six years teaching A level biology. I received Bachelors degrees in biology and education from the University of Manitoba in Canada, where I taught secondary school science and tutored secondary-aged students for two years.

Tutoring Approach:
Through my time as a qualified teacher, I have gained experience with a range of students at all ability levels. I am approachable and friendly and am able to work with students to identify their specific needs and how best to help them succeed. It is important to me to help students build a love of science in order to build confidence and success. Did a huge amount of voluntary work helping teach secondary school students during my A-level years and I am currently tutoring students Maths and Physics.

I use a more fundamental approach wherein a student can come to me with any questions or topics that they found hard during class. Lessons are then tailored to each student depending on what needs work.
