Once completing my masters degree I worked in industry for 3 years doing blue sky research for BAE SYSTEMS. I believe students progress best when they are confident to give problem solving a go. As a tutor I will go through the theory with tutees but my prime focus will always be how we apply that theory in practice. I work for the Cambridge International Exam Board, being an experienced marker of A Level chemistry. For older students, however, I do not want to undermine the importance of being properly prepared for public examinations.
