More recently I have worked for almost two decades in industry as a mathematician at a prestigious research centre in Cambridge. I think that most students have more mathematical ability than they themselves believe; this can be brought out in a positive fashion once negative stereotypes are discarded. Also the application of mathematics to the real world can be exciting and profitable.

I'm a dedicated Maths tutor with a First-Class degree and postgraduate qualifications up to PhD level in Engineering. Alongside my work as a Group Finance Manager/Finance Director, I teach Maths with the same rigour, clarity, and commitment I bring to my leadership roles. Tutoring isn't a side hustle for me - it's a meaningful part of my professional life, and I'm passionate about helping students build confidence and truly understand the subject.

With over 20 years of Maths teaching experience, I have supported learners from year 7 through to year 13, and a couple of university students - from those building foundational skills to students aiming for top grades. I provide tailored guidance on home study and revision techniques, and students who follow my recommendations have consistently achieved outstanding results, often acing their exams.
