Tutoring Approach:
The first three tutoring sessions are quite diagnostic. The aim is not only to find out strengths and weaknesses but also to see how quickly we can cover topics with most of the information retained.
As we cover material at a much faster rate than in normal class lessons.; recaps at speed become more import as lessons develop and confidence improves. The syllabus and past exam papers provide the main framework for most lessons.

I have tutored A-level maths privately for a few years, and also spent several weeks as a teaching assistant in a secondary school during my undergraduate degree as part of the Student Associates Scheme. I currently work in a 6th form college in Warrington where I teach and have taught a range of maths courses. This includes functional skills, engineering maths as well as the new specification GCSE and A level qualifications.

My ability to explain maths is one of my greatest strengths which I can do both verbally and in writing.
