I received my Chartered Physicist status in 2004 and am now a director.

Many of my students who previously had lost their passion for Maths and Physics, go on to take these subjects to a further level. I have just finished a PhD in maths at Newcastle University so it goes without saying I'm enthusiastic about both maths and physics. On top of this I have a wide variety of interests, and this allows me to find ways of explaining things that the people I'm tutoring can relate to.

While studying at Newcastle I've taken many tutorials for students taking courses in Maths. I recently completed a PhD in Bioengineering at Imperial College London, carrying out mathematical research on heart disease. My first degree was in Maths at the same university, and I took a Masters in Biomedical Research in between.

I have been a secondary school teacher for over 25 years and I currently teach GCSE, A level and Further Maths.
I prepare students for University entrance examinations incuding TMUA,MAT,ENGAA and STEP.
I have also tutored students at undergraduate degree level.
I am a senior A level examiner for Edexcel.

Tutoring Approach:
I tutor in a friendly and relaxed way, aiming to use encouragement to get the best from my students. My main objective with tutoring, is to develop the confidence of students. I help to reinforce key knowledge and practise key skills to help develop this confidence, so that students are able to achieve at their best in exams. I will give specific exam coaching and ensure students are fully prepared to tackle their papers. I have successfully tutored students at GCSE, A level and Further Maths. I am happy to tutor face to face or online.
