Teaching Experience:
Having tutored 50+ students over 5 years, I believe the role of a tutor is much more than helping them understand the course material in a clear and succinct way. I teach Economics in an interactive, unconventional and patient way. I use examples that are culturally relevant and real-world case studies to bring Economics to life. My approach is very learner-centred and customised to each student, so that they can build interest in Economics for the long run.

In terms of exam technique, quite a few students struggle in longer questions as they do not understand how to evaluate and lack structure in their answers. I can analyse the students' answers, train them in evaluation, and offer suggestions on how they can improve. This can range from applying real-world examples to following a framework for their answers.

Mathematics (A-Level or GCSE)
Mathematics can be a difficult and boring subject. However, I do my best to keep the concepts and logic simple and easy to understand. They say Asians are good at math but that is not true without hard work! Of course, I keep the lessons fun with the occasional joke and share how maths is useful in the long run.

I myself acheived very high grade 9s in these subjects at GCSE so I know what the mark scheme requires first hand. I can teach you the tips and tricks that I used in order to obtain these grades. I have worked as a full-time self-employed mathematics tutor since 2012 providing one-to-one home tuition for hundreds of students of GCSE and IGCSE Mathematics, A-Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics, Sixth Term Examination Papers (STEP), and Mathematics Admissions Tests (MAT). I also provide help and support for adult and return-learners of mathematics.

I am a former United Nations economist and Government consultant, now focussed on making a direct difference through education.
