Tutoring Approach:
A one-size-fits-all approach is NOT my thing. Every student has different needs and lessons need to be tailored accordingly.

POST-BEGINNERS, Mondays 5:30-7 pm
PRE-INTERMEDIATE, Mondays, 9-10:30 am OR 5:30-7 pm; Wednesdays, 6:30-8 pm;
INTERMEDIATE, Saturdays 9:15-10:45

We also have some fun with workshops about Italian & Cooking, Italian & Cinema, Italian & Music, Italian Grammar, & Italian Slang: days and time vary to suit participants' needs.

Thanks to my theatrical experience, my lessons for CHILDREN will include the use of 'puppets' and other activities to be decided time by time, according to the topic and tutees' needs.

Hi, I'm Kate, a full-time, professional tutor based in Petersfield (MA in Medieval and Modern Languages from St John`s College, Oxford). I design tailored learning plans to help students achieve their potential.

In 2021 100% of my A-Level students achieved grade A*.

Teaching Experience:
I began my teaching career in 2008 with the Government of Andorra as Lecturer of English.

I have since taught privately and at schools and colleges in Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Austria and the UK.

During the last 10 years I have mostly been based in Spain, but have also tutored private clients around Europe. In 2019 I opened a dedicated language school in Petersfield, Hampshire and I now offer online tuition too, with students learning for a mix of personal, professional and academic objectives.

Each course is created according to the student's needs, and is 100% bespoke.

Your course is designed for you, based on an initial consultation and/or questionnaire to help me to understand your learning style and establish clear goals for you.

Lessons often feel relaxed and fairly casual, because in my experience this is the best way to encourage real communication and thought in your target language!

For more advanced learners, there are plenty of academic resources and authentic materials to allow you to engage fully with your language. Courses can include grammar, linguistics, literature and cultural topics.

Since I was a young student, I have been extremely passionate about Italian History, Philology, Culture and Traditions. I'm currently working at Parliamentary Groups of Sicilian Parliament (ARS) where, since 1993, I've been performing a proofreader role of legislative texts.
Considering the nature of my job, I have always had a keen interest in the Italian language, focusing on the linguistic structures in order to perform high skill levels in spoken and written Italian.
I'm also cooperating with various authors as a translator of books.

I've been teaching in Italy for many years foreign students who needed to enhance their language skills for study purposes or professional reasons. I do believe that the best approach to the Italian Language is by learning from a native teacher.

I prepare my lessons by planning what I will teach my students. I consider the level of the students, their age, the skills I hope they will achieve, and the final goal of the lessons.Interaction is the key to ensure a successful learning process. I can say that through the interaction students increase their skills as their attention is focused on their involvement in a friendly context of learning, curiosity, speaking and listening. Hello, I am Claudia and I am from Italy. I moved to London with my family in 2016. Last year in 2020, I earned my CLTA pass to teach Italian at the International House of London. I love studying foreign languages like English and French and I also enjoy sharing my Italian culture with others. I have a degree in Economics. I like to talk with other people and learn about different cultures. I am available to teach various people. Since I am a mum, I am experienced in managing young students, in addition to adults. I am able to teach specific subjects like Economics and Finance, Arts and Design, Fashion, Italian Literature and Cooking. I am currently studying to earn my CIMA BA CERTIFICATE and to improve my level in both English and French.

My method is set with the student after a chat to know better him and to put him at ease. Usually I tailor each lesson based on the student goals. A mix of grammar, speaking, reading and listening.
My exercises are based on books but not only often they are structured from modern instruments (app, online, journal, tv show etc.). If necessary I prepare scheme for my students and resume about some subjects that student would like to learn.
