My teaching approach to tutoring varies from objective to objective. Languages should always be taught in a full immersion style, especially when it is targeting groups of people who are doing it for either vocational or personal reasons.
Tutoring of subjects such as languages with an objective such as GCSE or Highers or indeed University exams must take into account the syllabus that students must complete in order to reach their target: i.e. pass exams and, at the same time, learn in an effective though 'unforgettable' way. The majority of classes must be delivered in the target language, however in order to meet timing of syllabus coverage and exams some of the concept must be strengthened in the student's language.
In an ideal world, where no exams or timed targets exist, then tutoring of a language should happen 100% in the target language.

Currently I am working as Italian Teacher both with children and adults. I work with group classes of 15 people and also with single students.

Tutoring Approach:
This experience has been wonderful because taught me to approach students on the base of their understanding level with enthusiasm, patience and using creative methods.
When I teach I try to be clear and make things as easy as possible.
I prioritise visual and audible resources over the others as my goal is to use my students' visual and emotional intelligence making connections with everyday life (hobbies, personal skills, family, work, etc.).
Practise is the key and I make sure we do it together through quick exercises, repeating grammar rules, providing more examples and comparing the solutions. There are NEVER silly questions and I'm happy to reply to all of them.

The vocation and passion for teaching, which is both selfless and an act of self-care, have always influenced my education and work experience. After completing my university studies in Philosophy, I obtained a Master's Degree in Teaching Italian to Foreigners at the University of Rome Tor Vergata and then I moved to Coventry in order to start a Master by Research on Renaissance Studies at Warwick University. My method is set with the student after a chat to know better him and to put him at ease. Usually I tailor each lesson based on the student goals. A mix of grammar, speaking, reading and listening.
My exercises are based on books but not only often they are structured from modern instruments (app, online, journal, tv show etc.). If necessary I prepare scheme for my students and resume about some subjects that student would like to learn.
