My teaching approach to tutoring varies from objective to objective. Languages should always be taught in a full immersion style, especially when it is targeting groups of people who are doing it for either vocational or personal reasons.
Tutoring of subjects such as languages with an objective such as GCSE or Highers or indeed University exams must take into account the syllabus that students must complete in order to reach their target: i.e. pass exams and, at the same time, learn in an effective though 'unforgettable' way. The majority of classes must be delivered in the target language, however in order to meet timing of syllabus coverage and exams some of the concept must be strengthened in the student's language.
In an ideal world, where no exams or timed targets exist, then tutoring of a language should happen 100% in the target language.

I'm Alessandra, I'm Italian and I am here for you if you want to learn my beautiful language or you need just some practice for conversation.
I have a real passion for teaching and I worked as Teaching Assistant for children with special needs here in the UK.
I'm a patient person, I like to make people feel at ease when I teach Italian or any other subject. I really think that nothing is hard to learn and I like to make concepts really easy to understand. If you think the Italian language is too hard to learn or it's giving you a bit of trouble....well, let's try to learn it together and give me a chance to prove you the opposite.

Teaching Experience:
In Italy I always gave lessons to pupils (Primary and High school) that needed an extra support in mastering the Italian language (grammar, writing and speaking) and all the school subjects.
As a Teaching Assistant I worked with children/teenagers with learning disabilities and autism in a Special Needs school. I've improved my communication skills and learnt new ways to teach and understand my students'needs first of all.
Currently I am working as Italian Teacher both with children and adults. I work with group classes of 15 people and also with single students.

Tutoring Approach:
This experience has been wonderful because taught me to approach students on the base of their understanding level with enthusiasm, patience and using creative methods.
When I teach I try to be clear and make things as easy as possible.
I prioritise visual and audible resources over the others as my goal is to use my students' visual and emotional intelligence making connections with everyday life (hobbies, personal skills, family, work, etc.).
Practise is the key and I make sure we do it together through quick exercises, repeating grammar rules, providing more examples and comparing the solutions. There are NEVER silly questions and I'm happy to reply to all of them.

Native Italian speaker born in Switzerland who graduated in 2016 from the University of Geneva, Faculty of Translation & Interpreting, with a BA in Multilingual Communication. I have now changed my career path but still translate and tutor part-time.

Teaching Experience:
I have tutored from high school to university. I had tutees of all ages.

Tutoring Approach:
Besides theory, I will equally focus on practice to instill confidence in the tutees. I will also provide cultural information that complements and supports the learning experience. I will also consider the tutees' suggestions as choosing to learn a foreign language often results from curiosity.

My name is Georgios, I come from Greece and I am a passionate teacher of Classics. I have a broad experience teaching Ancient and modern Greek (my mother tongue), Latin, History and Classical Civilisation. Adapting my teaching to the level of the student I can help students of any level to excel to their exams or broaden their horizons by learning about the classical civilizations.

Teaching Experience:
I have a MA (UCL) and a BA in Philology (upper 10% of my class) with a specialisation in Classical Studies and I have a 5 years experience teaching students of all ages. I have a QTS and I have taught several students entering the university, with outstanding results. I have moved to London to pursue postgraduate studies in Classics, further enhancing my teaching skills and my knowledge on the field.

I can teach any type of Latin, Greek and History lessons, taking my students from the beginners level to excellence. I follow a systematic approach that will guarantee fast and steady progression to higher levels of classical knowledge guaranteeing high A-level grades and deep knowledge of the subject. Hello, I am Claudia and I am from Italy. I moved to London with my family in 2016. Last year in 2020, I earned my CLTA pass to teach Italian at the International House of London. I love studying foreign languages like English and French and I also enjoy sharing my Italian culture with others. I have a degree in Economics. I like to talk with other people and learn about different cultures. I am available to teach various people. Since I am a mum, I am experienced in managing young students, in addition to adults. I am able to teach specific subjects like Economics and Finance, Arts and Design, Fashion, Italian Literature and Cooking. I am currently studying to earn my CIMA BA CERTIFICATE and to improve my level in both English and French.

Tutoring Approach:
My method is set with the student after a chat to know better him and to put him at ease. Usually I tailor each lesson based on the student goals. A mix of grammar, speaking, reading and listening.
My exercises are based on books but not only often they are structured from modern instruments (app, online, journal, tv show etc.). If necessary I prepare scheme for my students and resume about some subjects that student would like to learn.
