Personal Description:
I am a keen genealogical researcher, both on and offline. I am also a mum of two who has a few part time jobs. I adore historical research, reading, theatre and nature.

Teaching Experience:
I spent my gap year teaching English to primary students in Ghana and Nepal. As a student, I went on from a BA in History to an MA in history. During my MA, I assisted in tutoring undergraduate students in small groups and my peers on the MA course in one-to-one settings on computing for historians.

Tutoring Approach:
I start with what the tutee already knows, look at what they want to know and then decide with them what the work plan will be. I always ensure tutees understand what I'm teaching, and am happy to go over things in different ways if needed. I try to enable and to teach, rather than to lecture.
