My language learning journey started in the same way it does for most of us - at secondary school. I fell in love with the French language at an early age and went on to complete an honours degree in French Studies at the University of Birmingham. During my year abroad, I lived and studied in Montréal, where I took classes in French, Italian and Spanish at McGill University and also fell in love with the Spanish language and culture.

My name is James and I am an 18 year old student at the University of Chester. I currently study French at university. I am fluent in both English and French as I lived in Geneva, Switzerland for the past seven years. I went to an international school where I completed the International Baccalaureate (IB). I have four younger siblings, two sisters and two brothers, aged between 3 and 10 so I am used to being around children.

As a part of the IB we needed to complete something called Creativity Action and Service (CAS hours), for my service I tutored students in the lower years in French. - University students willing to achieve greater fluency, further hone their language skills and/or prepare for their oral exams

Conversation sessions can be mostly informal and primarily aimed at helping you achieve greater fluency.
