I lived and worked in France from 1982 to 1985. I have always spent the summer holidays from the age of 12 living with a French family and feel equally at home in France or England. From school age I knew I wanted to travel and find new places learning the language as I went. I studied medieval languages, literature, and history at the University of Cambridge before completing an MA in Medieval Studies at the University of York.
