Although I learned all my foreign languages through a rigorous method very much based on writing and grammar, I am happy to adapt my method to my pupil's needs. Enhanced by my coaching credentials, sessions are person centred and tailored to meet the needs of individual learners, their interests and requirements. Therefore, my lessons include an initial diagnostic assessment & focus on building the confidence of individual learners.

GCSE, iGCSE & A-Level students:
I am committed to supporting the individual needs of students to build their confidence and language competency. I proactively keep up to date on current pedagogy, including developments within MFL secondary education.
I ensure that I focus on the requirements of the agreed school syllabus including AQA & Edexcel/Pearson qualifications. I draw on, appropriately adapt and/or build or create appropriate resources depending on the needs of individual students. I use digital tools including Kerboodle and Wordwall. I am currently a volunteer Tutor for the Access Project.

Adults:
Tutoring includes a free initial assessment & SMART goal setting session. I take a person centred approach to coaching and include a focus on individuals' preferred ways of learning to ensure an effective and efficient language learning for adults wishing to move or holiday holiday abroad.

I have been teaching French for 5 years in British schools (from level A0 to level C2) and also giving private lessons online for more than 2 years (general French, conversation, exams, etc.)

📜 Certifications

I have studied hard to obtain the Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and the Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). For 4 years, I have learned how to teach French effectively and how to help each student to reach their potential.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach is the following: teach pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar through engaging activities such as role-playing and discussions oriented to your areas of interest.

Our first lesson will start with a simple assessment of your skills and, depending on your level, I will design a specific learning plan in order to make you achieve your goals.
