My name is Margo and I'm 44 years old. I am a high school French and Spanish teacher. I am also an avid cyclist and in 2011 fulfilled my lifelong dream of cycling round the world. My 27,000 km, New Zealand to Scotland trip took 2 years to complete and was the best experience of my life so far. My name is Régine; I am a native French UK qualified and experienced school teacher in England. I hold a UK BA Hons Degree and a UK Masters in Education and Applied Linguistics. I hold a valid DBS.

I teach holiday French, General French, GCSE & A Level French, the Common Entrance exam for entry to private schools.

I teach the French government exams for juniors and adults, Delf, Dalf, TCF which are required for French nationality applications and entries into some French universities/places of work - these qualifications are recognised worldwide and can bolster a school leaver's or an adult's CV.

I also offer customised tuition, for example, French for someone moving to a French speaking country, French for a particular job, French for weddings, your own, or someone else's, French speeches, Hobby-specific French.

And, of course, I offer "French Conversation" which might suit you just as well.

On a personal note, I am a French lady living in the UK, in Lincolnshire. I am a mum of three, I enjoy dancing. I am learning sign language.

I hold a Master`s Degree in Education and Applied Linguistics. I am a fully qualified and experienced school teacher in the UK.

My teaching experience includes Secondary schools, 16+ Adult Education and giving private lessons, all for many years and at any level. I currently teach classes, groups, pairs, individuals, online, face to face, and by correspondence.
This includes
General French, Holiday French, French exams such as the CE-French (Common Entrance French) GCSEs, Alevels and the French government exams to obtain French visas for work, universities and French nationality, French to travel the world, work for the red Cross, work for "Médecins sans Frontières"

Tutoring Approach:
My approach to teaching is always with the learner's wishes in mind - i discuss what you are looking for, what you want to achieve. These goals are unique to you and flexible of course. i bring a lesson plan to lessons as well as authenticity in terms of pronunciation, cultural elements, and least but not last a big dose of enthusiasm. Making progress can be challenging for you, so the more naturally involved you are, the more interesting and the clearer the explanations are, the better you will learn.
And finally -Grammar- I can teach with or without using grammar. Grammar is only one of the tools to support learning, but it can be scary too.

Personal Description:
I come from a very multilingual and multicultural background. Having grown up in Tanzania and now Kenya I have had the opportunity to go to a French School for 8 years, learning every subject in French. Additionally, my fluency for Italian has come from my parents who are both Italian, which this level of Italian increased during my time at Boarding school (GCSE and A level), similarly with French.

Furthermore, having gone to an International Boarding School I have profoundly learnt Spanish from the ages of 10-18.

Teaching Experience:
This past summer, I have been able to participte in Language Summer School at Stonyhurst College and I have been priveleged to be able to teach the kids developed and more intermediate levels of English along with native languages, which I am fluent in. This enabled me to communicate with children when they haven't understood words etc...

Similarly, when I was at school I used to help the younger kids with their revision for upcoming exams, and used to help them learn relevant content along with grammar and conjucations, which is extremelly important when it comes to understanding and pronouncing foreign words.

Tutoring Approach:
As a tutor, I will be patient as I know that languages are very hard to learn and therefore having patient is important to fostering an important positive mentality, which is also a key factor to being able to achieve the grades an individual is aiming for.
Additionally, pronounciation will be worked on as this is very important when taking speaking exams, and I feel like this is very overlooked amongst tutors and not taken seriously; when someone knows how to pronounce it will be easier to spell and remember key vocabulary.
Furthermore, one thing i learned at school was that doing past papers is the most important thing to get yourself used to examination strcutures and get you to really understand syllabus and contents of the subject you are studying.
However, even though these are all contributing factors to learning a subject, knowing how to revise is just as important, which is something I will also be teaching and helping them find what revision tactic is best for them.
