A native speaker from France, I gained a master's degree in Business at a prestigious university in Paris after completing a one-year Erasmus exchange programme at the University of Birmingham. After graduating, I spent a year travelling around South America and then started my career as a project manager in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Tutoring Approach:
I see myself as more of a mentor than a teacher, helping my students set reasonable goals while encouraging them to become lifelong language learners. I therefore endeavour to introduce culture into most of my lessons, whether through educational videos or magazines, French songs, or news stories from various French-speaking countries.

I find that experiencing culture is a key aspect of learning a foreign language as this can boost language receptive skills (listening and reading), which will, in turn, reinforce language productive skills (speaking and writing), all of which being needed to communicate well in the language.

I have 7 years experience working as a Spanish teacher in secondary schools in London including Alleyn's, Lady Margaret School and Kingsdale, teaching years 7 to 13. My exam classes have a very good track record. This year, my year 11 class are predicted 58% grades 9 to 8 and 100% 9 to 6, and my A Level class 63% A*-A and 88% A*-B. I have worked with both Edexcel and AQA in this time, so I know what it takes to get the best grades, especially at GCSE. My name is Haidee, I'm a 19 year old from Liverpool studying French at The University of Liverpool. (I often go to Kirkby and Fazackerly to work and see family so would often be available to tutor in that area too). I have thoroughly enjoyed learning French for 8 years and would love to pass on my knowledge so that you can enjoy learning French too! This is my first time tutoring but I have a genuine love and flair for languages and have enjoyed teaching friends in my own time, so please don't let this put you off as I would love to help!

In school I sat my GCSE early at the age of 14 (year 9), passing with a B. I then continued to study French for the final two years of school and passed again with an A*. I also started studying Spanish in the last two years and passed with an A. During college I studied French to A2 level, passing with a B. In my time in college I spent a week each year in Montpellier living with a French family and attending a French language school, which I really enjoyed and feel helped me with my learning.

In my free time I love to cook (although I'm not very good at it!), go out for meals (when my cooking goes wrong!), read and watch films. I also love to practise Tae Kwon Do, which I started at the age of 15, although I don't do this since I moved away to university.

This is my first time trying tutoring, but I often helped my sister with her French to GCSE level. I also helped a friend of mine who struggled in school to pass her English and Maths GCSE by using imaginative teaching and memory techniques, to which she was very grateful. A graduate from Amiens University with a BA in English Literature & Civilization, I also studied Fashion Design & Illustration in the international Paris American Academy.

Hello my name is Anne-Marie, I am from Ireland but have been living in the UK since 2004. This is now a place I call home. I realised I had a flare for imparting knowledge when I became a basketball trainer at 15, working with Primary and Secondary pupils. The bulk of my private tuition is French and German GCSE. However, I am also delivering German IB (diploma) and A level, as well as English as a second language.
I also have some adult learners as well as children from age 6-10.

Hello! I have a Honours degree in German and French from Oxford University. I also have a post graduate teaching qualification in German and French, so I am familiar with the demands of the curriculum and exam work.

I have also lived and worked in Germany, so I speak native-level German and am great German language and culture enthusiast. I hope that our lessons will make you feel like that too, as well as giving you the knowledge to speak, listen, read and write with confidence.

I am happy to take advice from you about how you would like to spend your tutorial time, or I can advise you on how best to reach your goal. You can also let me know if you wish to consolidate tutorials with some homework .

I have a post graduate teaching qualification in German and French from UCL's Institute of Education and I taught in several secondary schools up to GCSE as part of my teacher training.

I have tutored students at all stages of secondary school up to GCSE, and have tutored adults who wanted to brush up on their German.

Tutoring Approach:
I enjoy teaching one to one and providing a learner with the extra edge that can provide. I like to build on a student's knowledge and language confidence by reviewing what has been learned in class and identifying any gaps in understanding. I like to teach in the target language when it helps student confidence.

For students who want to go that bit further, or who may be considering a language A level, I encourage them to watch and discuss films and programmes in the target language, and read some great literature as part of their language learning experience.
