Whilst still an undergraduate, as part of the National Mentoring Pilot Project (NMPP), I was a mentor to four Year 8 pupils, providing support and encouragement in an environment removed from the classroom. I trained in dance from the age of 3, and when I was about 13/14, started helping with the teaching of the younger children at the school.
