I am John, an English graduate who has several years experience in one-to-one and small group tuition. I enable my students to make the connections they need to find in order to achieve successful exam results. Many of my students have achieved results that they required in order to secure places at university or attain successful grades both at GCSE and A/L standard. Other students have achieved the results they needed for making successful job applications and professional placements.

My approach to tutoring is that of an enabler. I am a Specialist Dyslexia Tutor with over 10 years' experience of supporting students in secondary, further and higher education. I am a Professional Member of the British Dyslexia Association and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

I am passionate about helping students achieve their potential. My experience has shown me just what a difference one-to-one tutoring and specialist intervention can make. I am a fully qualified secondary school English teacher and have previously worked for three London universities as a Specialist Study Skills and Academic Writing Tutor. I currently work with students in the east of England.

Thank you for taking the time to view my profile. My name is Krisztina and teaching is my life's passion! Growing up in a family of educators, teaching is definitely in my blood. There is something very special about being able to impact the life of a child, and to play a small role in moulding them into a person that can maybe one day make a difference in the world. Teaching is a fulfilling profession and for me, it provides inner happiness and a sense of achievement. I am proud to be a teacher!

I have 15 years of experience in teaching. For the first 10 years of my career, I taught in Special Education and gained a wealth of experience teaching many wonderful children with special educational needs, including Autism, Down's syndrome, ADHD, Asperger Syndrome and other learning and physical disabilities. In the last 5 years, my focus shifted to online tuition in English and Maths on the primary school level (from Reception to year 6). Due to my tuition, I have seen lots of amazing children not only improve their academic skills but their confidence too.

Tutoring Approach:
I believe that learning should be fun and not a burden! My main focus when teaching is to ensure the child is engaged, active and interested. I'm a hardworking, patient individual looking to improve the skills and confidence of my students by increasing their understanding rather than just telling them what is needed to complete their tasks.

I take a lot of time to plan individual lessons and strive to tailor each of them to the child's specific requirements. Every child is different so every lesson will be different. As well as being a full-time private tutor for nearly 15 years, I have a background in comedy, writing and performance. I've published three humour books and continue to write for theatre companies and private events. I also love art and illustration, and try incorporate this into my teaching where possible - for all ages! I currently live in South-West London with my husband and two young children.
