This coaching-based approach I take has proven highly successful. I approach each student and the sessions with an open mind to learn what I need to be of support.

Combining motivational coaching techniques, I offer a uniquely engaging, personally attuned service. The first lesson typically consists of a complimentary educational assessment (usually 30 minutes) to help identify key areas for improvement . All results can be shared with the parent/guardian. Based on this initial assessment, a 100% individual and tailored programme of learning is created. While encouraging the student to adopt high yet realistically achievable targets for their own education, I am also sensitive to the level of each student and what he or she is ready to adopt.

I decided to start tutoring after my experience in trying to get tutors for my own children. As a professional working internationally I thought it would be easy to hand over this important element of their education to someone with both experience and patience. My notion was quickly turned on its head. The Tutors I found taught textbook style with the one shoe fits all approach. My children and others didn't fit into that mould. Each student's academic needs are different, as are their learning styles.

Personal Description:
Hi, I am an ongoing university student of BA History. As I continue my studies into my final year, I have become interested in the increasing potential of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for Environmental History, the urban environment, and natural hazard management.

In conjunction with my Bachelor of Arts in History, I have been learning the Japanese language. Furthermore, I co-run Misiu i Mui Mui - an English language blog with plenty of travel inspiration for budget travel around Europe; wherein, I share my special affection for East-Central Europe and the Baltics.

Teaching Experience:
▪; Background - Year 1 (2017-18): Inquiry into the array of extensive transformations on the European continent (c.400-1500); the study of the heterogenous structures of society in continental Europe (1500-1800); as well as the exploration of various strands of themes and structures in Europe from 1793 to 1991. I have greatly enjoyed the above-mentioned modules: markedly opening-up my field of analysis of factors I have not yet implemented, as well as having aided me in increasing my analytical and research skills, the written and oral modes of research presentation have greatly prepared me for my study in Year 2.

In conjunction with my Bachelor of Arts in History study, I have attended a weekly evening language course for the Russian language at the King's College London Modern Language Centre.

Year 2 (2018-19, ongoing): Examination of global human-environmental interactions, the evolution of human culture and technology, as well as the study of environmental history in relation to anthropology, archaeology, geography, and environmental studies; the study of the organisation and re-organisation of East-Central #/k#Europe across the nineteenth and twentieth-centuries, with a focus upon the organisation principle of the nation-state, as well as a multiple level analysis of diversified subnational and transnational systems; as well as the study of literature and theory appertaining to the study of history and memory as a study in of itself.

Furthermore, the study of Art in European Society between 1500 and 1700, namely: the ways arts interacted with social and cultural forces. Moreover, as part of my second-year studies, I am currently learning the Japanese language. Whilst am I am ongoing student of the above-mentioned modules, my second-year studies have proved to have a greater research presentation diversity (including individual and group presentations) as well as have elevated my independence as a student, namely: by requiring students to self-organise and carry out field trips around London.

▪; Volunteering and work experience: As a native Polish speaker, during my Year 1 studies I have volunteered at the King's College London Modern Language Centre. The volunteering included working with an individual student of the Polish language within a half-an-hour allotted time slot. Rather than acting as a teacher of the Polish language, the sessions focused upon one-to-one language interaction in preparation for the student's written, oral examinations, as well as providing language immersion with a native Polish speaker.

Hi, my name is Danielle and I just love English! I strive to foster a love of and appreciation for Literature in my students. A friendly, highly experienced teacher of English, I love helping keen learners grow in confidence, ultimately achieving the highest standards they can. Teaching Experience:
Over the past sixteen years I have been privileged to have been able to help hundreds upon hundreds of young learners develop their enjoyment, skills and confidence in English Language and English Literature, and therefore achieve success. I have experience of a variety of educational settings, including the state sector as well as the independent, and teach the full secondary age range - from Key Stage 3 through to A Level.
As a current examiner of GCSE Literature and with past experience examining different specifications for GCSE Language, GCSE Literature and AS Level Language & Literature, I have an extensive knowledge and understanding of what is required to secure good grades.
Other positions I have held have been Head of Year, Head of Drama, Literacy Across the Curriculum and Assistant Faculty Lead.

I really believe that writing for a purpose motivates potential authors, so last year I submitted the work of over five hundred young people to a number of writing competitions: some reached the higher rounds (BBC 500 Words), one entrant reached the final (Wicked Young Writers) and over seventy had their entries published. In order to get you excited about your writing, I would seek similar opportunities for you to show off your enhanced skills after some lessons on crafting writing! Did you know that great writers grow from great readers? To further develop your expertise in English, I will encourage you to read more widely by setting challenges to broaden your literary diet.

I am a primary teacher with 11 years experience teaching and tutoring across Ireland and England. I graduated with a B.Ed in 2011 and I recently completed a Masters in Education in school leadership. I have taught and tutored all year groups of primary age. In the past, I have worked as the Reading and Phonics leader across Early Years and KS1. I love to support students on their journey learning to read. I get the best from my students with a relaxed, engaging and creative approach. I am a suitable tutor as I have ample teaching experience working with children not just in the classroom, but in learning support.
