I am an Independent Educational Consultant specialising in Dyslexic Disorders. I have been a private tutor for many years and have tutored over 200 students. I have worked with many gifted children and those also who find education a challenge. I specialise in special needs especially dyslexia and Autism. After training as a teacher and the a medical doctor I find that my interest has remained in the education field and so am now to begin training as an Educational Psychologist with the Institute of Education, University of London.

My general approach to teaching is to enhance individual skills by providing an individual programme for the student. This allows the student to learn independently instead of the learning associated within schools of one size fits all. I also work within the "We find this subject a challenge, not an impossibility" field; that is to say everything is positive concerning the tuition, and everyone can learn, its just they have not been taught in a way that they personally understand. Hi! I am a 21 year old University student studying Childhood and Youth Studies at the University of Sussex. I studied English Literature, History, Sociology and Biology at A Level and got really high scores on my GCSEs and A Levels. I want to be a primary school teacher when I finish university.

Teaching Experience:
I have over 2 years experience tutoring all ages. I tutor both privately and through an agency. I have experience tutoring those with behavioural difficulties and other alternative needs. I am currently completing more teaching qualifications and teaching courses to maximise teaching experiences for students.

Tutoring Approach:
I want to take a flexible approach. I believe all students are different and the way that you learn best is the best way to teach someone. People know what helps them and it is important to listen. It should also be fun. It should not be a dull experience, there are ways to make it exciting and enjoyable too.

For English, lessons usually combine reading, writing, and speaking practice, with a focus on building confidence and fluency. I also include exam techniques, past paper practice, and creative exercises to keep learning fun and effective. Whereas for maths my lessons combine practice with past papers, targeted revision techniques, and personalised feedback to strengthen weak areas. I aim to give students both the skills and confidence they need to achieve top grades in both subjects.

I adapt the pace and content to suit your needs. I believe learning should feel motivating, not overwhelming, so I make sure every session is engaging and encouraging
