I started working as a tutor in London and Surrey in 2013/2014, mainly for students who had been excluded from school. In 2015 I relocated and began tutoring private clients in East Anglia. In 2016 I started offering online tuition, first using Skype, and now with Zoom. I now tutor virtually all of my students online, though I will occasionally tutor at a student's home when my schedule permits.

Tutoring Approach:
For younger students, I assess them on their first appointment to see where their strengths and weaknesses are. I then focus the lessons on the areas they need improvement in, using an individualized approach that is suitable for that particular student. I also help students prepare for examinations, such as the GCSE; in this case I mostly focus on giving them tasks and questions that resemble what they will face on their tests.

I realised I had a flare for imparting knowledge when I became a basketball trainer at 15, working with Primary and Secondary pupils. Throughout my teaching career, I have had the privilege of working with children from ages 4 to 16, and I am now offering tutoring in subjects such as maths, literacy, and social studies subjects including sociology, criminology, and modern studies for National 5 students. I take pride in tailoring my lessons to suit the individual needs of my students, helping them not only meet but exceed their learning goals. My experience with a range of age groups and subjects has provided me with the tools to create engaging and effective lessons.

I will be offering opportunities from now until August to get your child ready to begin Primary 1 in regards to literacy and maths. In addition to this, I will be offering sessions for current school children to both revise and learn maths and literacy knowledge and skills to ensure they have the best start in their next academic year.

Teaching Experience:
I have over four years of tutoring experience across Maths, Sciences, and Business, supporting students at 11+, KS3, and GCSE level. I have delivered both in-person and remote tuition, with a strong focus on Maths.

Most recently, I provided remote GCSE Maths tutoring to students at the British School Chennai, where I delivered structured one-to-one lessons, created tailored revision materials, and supported students with exam preparation and confidence-building. Teaching in an international and online setting strengthened my ability to adapt my teaching style to different learning needs and maintain engagement remotely.

In addition, I have direct experience with the 11+ pathway, having passed the 11+ myself and studied at a grammar school.
