Personal Description:
I am a qualified teacher having been awarded a PGCE from the University of Cambridge. I also have a First Class Bachelors degree. I previously taught at Queen's College Preparatory School, London and now teach online for Eton College. I am a member of the professional body for tutors.

I have four young children of my own and enjoy working with children and helping them to become interested in and succeed in school work. All of my children attend UK independent schools and I have extensive experience in this sector.

I have helped students prepare for and succeed in gaining entry to top UK selective schools at 4+, 7+, 11+ and 13+. This coaching-based approach I take has proven highly successful. I approach each student and the sessions with an open mind to learn what I need to be of support.

Combining motivational coaching techniques, I offer a uniquely engaging, personally attuned service. The first lesson typically consists of a complimentary educational assessment (usually 30 minutes) to help identify key areas for improvement . All results can be shared with the parent/guardian. Based on this initial assessment, a 100% individual and tailored programme of learning is created. I have been teaching ESOL for 22 years at an adult education college and I also taught ESOL for a local authority for seven of those years. I have taught all levels from Entry Level 1 (beginners) to Level 2 (advanced) and have prepared students for Skills for Life exams at all levels. I have also taught specialist classes on literacy, grammar, writing, speaking and listening, Life in the UK and the history of London.

Teaching Experience:
Since I'm a University student, I prefer conducting online classes the most where it can suit my lecture/tutorial schedule the best ! I'm a very bubbly and cheerful person, so studying won't all just be books and papers, chit chats will be coming in the full package as well ! Just remember, being 'gifted' or not doesn't matter ! Studies all honestly revolve around your effort and originality to it !
