I believe in a thorough method of learning languages - not the 'phrase-book style' fashionable for some years. As much speaking practice as possible is essential.

I am currently in my second year of a BA Hons in Film Studies at Edge Hill University, living away from home during the week but always available on weekends. Good news: Russian is fascinating, by the end of the "journey", you will be confident enough to speak to a Russian in the street or even upgrade your page with information in Russian, to strike your friends with a few bespoken facts about Russia or probably invite your friends to join you for the mountain climbing in the Altai or kayaking in Baikal Lake. I should warn you may fall in love with Russian language and may even dare to start an advanced course after which you are very likely to wake up one morning with a strong desire to see Bolshoi Ballet or fall asleep with "War and Peace" in your hands.

Let me briefly describe you my past experience. I was born in Saint-Petersburg and graduated from Russain State University of Foreign Languages, I have a master's degree in teaching of modern languages. I have been working first at school, then privately for more than 15 years.

I started teaching Russian at Trent College in Derbyshire as an extra-curricular activity for a group of students in year 7-8 and 9, providing all the teaching materials and authentic programme. I covered all the main parts in terms of philology and diverse the lessons with curious facts about the country, traditions and customs. At the end of one term course, students had basic skills in reading and writing, they were able to introduce themselves and speak on common themes (hobbies, cuisine, travelling etc). After relocating to Cornwall, I prepared my own Russian course, which I delivered in Tree Language School in Truro. Paolo is an Italian songwriter, composer, and stage director based in London.

He has independently composed, produced, and released solo albums, as well as soundtracks for theatre productions and songs for other artists. Beginning his music career in 1992, Paolo is also an accomplished singer and guitarist who has performed across Europe and collaborated with numerous international artists.

His unique writing style has evolved over years of traveling, literary studies, and ongoing poetic exploration, which earned him first prize in poetry at the Pirandello Stable Festival in 2012.

Paolo's theatre and cinema career began in 1998. Alongside intensive drama school training, he spent seven years honing his acting and directing skills at the Teatro Regio di Torino, working under renowned directors Franco Zeffirelli, José Carlos Plaza, Ugo De Ana, Giuseppe Patroni Griffi, and John Cox.

Since 2002, he has written and directed numerous plays, including The Bald Soprano by Ionesco, The Trojan Women by Euripides, and A Doll's House by Ibsen, staged in various UK venues.

I am a Philosophy and English language teacher from Southampton, England, currently residing in Stapleton, Bristol.

I hold a First Class Honours degree in Philosophy from Cardiff University (2017-2020) and a Master of Research in International Development from the University of Bath, awarded with Merit (2020-2021). Additionally I have a TEFL diploma.

Teaching Experience:
My teaching journey began in Granada, Spain, where I worked at ITACA Centro de Formación, instructing students across various proficiency levels (A1-C1) and preparing them for IELTS and Cambridge examinations. I developed engaging lesson plans tailored to students' educational needs and provided targeted interventions to enhance learning outcomes. Upon returning to the UK, I began to work as a Philosophy tutor adapting lessons to individual learning styles and supporting students in improving their communication skills. This diverse experience has honed my ability to teach complex subjects effectively to a wide range of learners.

In my philosophy tutoring, I emphasize a personalized and student-centred approach. I believe in adapting my teaching methods to meet the unique needs and learning styles of each student, fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment. My focus is on developing critical thinking and analytical skills essential for success in philosophy. I am well-versed in the AQA A-level Philosophy specification, which offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to develop students' interest and knowledge in the subject, as well as their analytical and critical thinking skills. Additionally, I am knowledgeable about the Edexcel Religious Studies A-level.. My goal is to equip students with the skills and confidence needed to excel in their examinations and to cultivate a deep understanding and appreciation of philosophical inquiry.
